"...You poor child", I heard as I...drifted in this space of... nothingness. "I know you want to question the God of this world... I know you scream, shout, and cry at the unfairness, the injustice of it at all."
As they had spoke, all I could think about was all the times I had lived as well as die for the mission and my only purpose is.. or was to complete the missions. 'Nothing else matters, but the mission. Not even...' I thought before remembering him. His kind smile. His silly nickname. His calming voice....
"..I see you remembered him.", they say as I live all them memories I have of him, with him.
"Sadly.. he is no longer." The Voice tells me with reluctance and sadness in their voice. As I hear these words, I turned colder and more hollow then I had already felt. 'He was taken from me again...' I thought despondently.
"I'm sorry for the life you had to live [ ]." They had spoke while I wallowed in sadness, grief, and despair. "I'm sorry I wasn't there to stop it."
As soon as they had said this, I had stopped cold in my tracks of grief and abruptly stood up in this void overcome again by not grief, but pure rage.
'They are the one... They're responsible for why I can't...' I thought before immediately trying to call my sword to try and kill this bastard.
"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!" I scream with no short amount of pure unadulted rage. My face morphed into a scowl as I continuously try to call my sword to no avail.
"I Understand you this as such, but please see I'm trying to-" "TO WHAT!!?" I interrupt them "To use me ? To bring me back to that hopeless world where all I do is serve!? To keep living that endless cycle without the only thing that made it bearable..?" My voice started cracking as my rage starts to settle giving back into the sorrow and grief no longer trying to search for my sword.
Then the God that I blamed for all this, the one I was trying to kill appeared before me and.. comforted me in an embrace. " I want to help you." they had told me with a voice and tone that was soothing and reminiscent of him.
*SOB*
That was all I could take before I tightly returned the embrace, breaking down entirely in nothing but got-wrenching sobs, while in their comforting embrace.
I stayed in this embrace for an indefinite amount of time before the God had resumed in their speech from before.
"I want to give a chance to live a life of your own free will. Not guided by false words or empty quests."
As they told me this I couldn't help but ask " Why do so much for me?"
" This is the very least I can do after all you had suffered." They told me this with absolute kindness and regret. As I understand why I just don't see a plausible way of how.
The God must have understood my thought because he immediately answered. "I'm going to reincarnate you in different world and allow you to traverse the multiverse and live with your free will. You will won't have the memories of your past, but you will gain them as you grow. And to help you grow, I am going to give you knowledge over multiple things that will help in due time, and an ability and powers of such."
"But how am I supposed to do this without [ ] ?" I say still wanting to be with him somehow.
" Even though he is not here, doesn't mean he is gone completely.", They say mysteriously. "Now I must cut this discussion short. Live a life of your own free will. Fight of your own will. And continue as such... just like what [ ] would have wanted from you."
As they say this everything starts to fade. The God, the void, my memories, everything fades...
I then open my eyes to a bright light to a place completely foreign to me and something floating in front of me.
