Pyaar Dur Jane Na De!

Part 6

It was 31st eve. Only few hours away from New year to start! Akash wanted to see payal on 31st night but manorama has already warned him not to visit  "khoon bhari taang" at night. He couldn't say no to her but NK convinced him that he can still visit payal and he will take care that his mom doesn't know this.
With the help of NK, he booked a table at a garden restaurant and made some special arrangements. The only thing they were not able to figure out is how Akash will leave the house at this hour. If he goes with NK, manorama would get suspicious. There has to be some concrete reason.
While NK and Akash were thinking and discussing this, Arnav was working on his laptop by the poolside, although he heard everything he pretended to be not listening and kept working when suddenly he felt that they both were looking at him.
"What, why are you looking at me?"
They both looked at him expectantly.

"No.. There is no way I am going to involve in this...

He got up and started to leave when he was stopped by Akash.

" Bhai please, agar aap bolenge ki office ka kuch kam hai toh kisi ko shak nai aayega! Please bhai, mein aaj payalji se milna chahta hun" He made a sad face.

"Please Nannav, you have to help Akash! "
"Okay, fine I will think of something and take you out, now let me work, we will leave at night"

Arnav had informed everyone that they have an important client in town and he and Akash will be late due to meeting. No one got any hint.

Khushi and payal left the home saying that they want to eat golgappe and sweets at the end of the year and that they will be back soon. Akash was already waiting in the Restaurant. Arnav decided to wait in the car. When gupta sisters arrived, Payal suggested khushi to join them but she wanted to give them privacy hence she said she will do some timepass outside and assured payal that she will be safe.
There was a mandir nearby and she thought she will go there and come back quickly. Unknown to her, there was someone who was closely looking at her. After a while she felt that there is someone who is following her. She turned and was about to shout when the man behind her caught hold of her and put his hand on her mouth!
"Shhhh.. It's me! " Said Arnav.
She was surprised for a second and then relieved to see him there. She signalled him to take his hands off her mouth and so he did. After a little moment of awkwardness, khushi asked
"Aap.. Yaha? Aur aise hamara picha kyun kar rahe the? Pata hai hum kitna dar gaye the"
" Kyunki meine tumhe restaurant se bahar nikalte huwa dekha tha aur tum itni raat gaye kaha ja rahi thi? Tumhi pata hai na it's delhi! Isliye aaya tha tumhare piche! "
She looked at his eyes and saw his concern for her. She didn't know what to say. But she felt good somehow.
" Woh hum soch rahe the ki hum mandir jake wahi jiji ka intazar karenge"
" This is not safe..Even I am waiting for Akash! Tum mere saath chalo"
She agreed and walked with him towards his car.
