========> song on the side.....Broken-by Digga. There are parts of the song that really stood out describing what Rayne felt over her loss...Hope you like it :)
Colin:
“I hope they make this work.” He kissed Arianna’s head and pulled her into his arms. She sighed. “I don’t think he’d hurt her. He’s not really as terrible as he lets on.”
“He is Angelo…He’s actually worse.” Colin grumbled, but there was grudging affection in his tone.
Morning had come finally, but they would not let the day sleep claim them as yet.
Angelo had been very clear when he told them that he would not be tolerating any nonsense from his new bride. And the spunky female wasn’t easy either, especially with Alpha blood running through her veins.
“Relax, sweetheart.” Arianna cooed soothingly, running her hands along his chest. “He won’t let us down, because he understands why he’s doing this.”
“I guess so.” Colin mused staring at the thick, black velvet curtains that were blocking out the sun.
There was no doubt that the first few weeks of their marriage would be tense one. Angelo wasn’t very giving, and the she wolf seemed to be just as stubborn. He knew how Alpha’s generally behaved, but he also new that Angelo would not intentionally hurt her. That was the reason why he had them sent over to his secluded estate. There’d be no interference as they tried to get along, and ample space for the wolf to run around and enjoy herself. Angelo wasn’t much of a blood drinker, so he didn’t need to be watched over like some of the loose cannons they had in their clan.
Angelo was oddly protective of both Human and Supernaturals alike, making him one confusing SOB, but it was that quality that had drawn him into friendship with the man.
His friend bore many traits that were vastly different to any Vampire he’d ever come across, but then again, the writ also contained certain specifications that he discovered Angelo had. He was sure the Wolves had seen something in the female to force her into this union as well.
He very much wanted to give Angelo a call to see if all was well, but he knew that it was still too soon. His friend was probably still seething from their argument after the wedding.
Angelo, much to his horror, had called him a number of names within earshot of the others, but as much as he wanted to stop him for dishonouring his name, he knew it was true. His friend was right, he was that and so much more, and because of that, he was also glad that he left with his dead heart and head intact.
Angelo wasn’t as affected by the scent of Wolves as they were, so how difficult could it be sharing space with one? It was only a year after all…A lot could happen in a year.
They could fall in love, they could fulfil the writ to its entirety and maybe even hell could freeze over…
His thoughts became jumbled as the day sleep finally wore him out. Arianna was already sleeping heavily, her body stone cold and breathless, and before he knew it, he joined her in dreams.
Zeke:
“Thank you, Maria.” Zeke picked the letter of the tray and examined it. The blue waxed seal carrying the smudged indentations of the Wolf crest made sure that the information remained untouched.
