"Angel, Alex. You guys are lifesavers" said Lacey.

She helped with the bags her friends brought, as they entered the apartment. Angel went straight to her kitchen and began cooking. Lacey can cook but what she had planned for tonight required skills that she didn't possess.

While Angel was cooking, Lacey and Alex cleaned her apartment.

Hours Later...

Everything was in place. The food was done and Lacey was grateful for her friends.  Lacey had changed into something nicer. She was walking downstairs when she heard Stephanie unlock the door.

"Babe, what's all this" asked Stephanie.

"This is the surprise I was telling you about. First let's eat the we can move on to part two" said Lacey.

Stephanie sat down at the table and they began eating the dinner that Angel had cooked.

"Lace, I've been meaning to tell you something" said Stephanie.

"What's up, babe" asked Lacey.

"I wanted you to know before anyone else. Hunter and I are officially getting divorced. We've been separated for over 5 years now, it's just time. We need to be open and start living our lives apart from each other, and with the people that we love" said Stephanie.

"Is this actually happening" asked Lacey.

"Yes. We are moving slowly because we just moved the girls down here. We don't want them to hate us for changing everything, but it is happening this year" said Stephanie.

Lacey was shocked, she never really thought this was going to happen ever. She had given some thought to the possibility, but it was no more than that. She had heard Stephanie mention the attention it would get and how she didn't want to deal with it.

"I didn't want you to be surprised when you get the post or news article about it" said Stephanie.

"I love that you wanted me to know. It means a lot that you care about me like that" said Lacey.

"Lacey Lane, I do more than care you. I love you. I'm in love with you" said Stephanie.

"I love you too" said Lacey.

They finished dinner and Lacey went upstairs.

"I will call you when you can come up" said Lacey.

Stephanie wasn't a big fan of surprises since her last major surprise was to find out her husband cheated on her years ago. After 10 minutes, Stephanie heard Lacey's voice telling her to come up to the bedroom.
