Izuku's POV~

~Morning~

I woke to the sound of my alarm clock. I quickly got up and ready for school. Taking my pill, brushing my teeth and hair, and changed into my school uniform.

I went into the kitchen and realized that Mom was still asleep. I quietly exited the house, not wanting to wake Mom up. I know she has issues sleeping sometimes, and I learned that Mom doesn't like waking up after I leave for school, but I want her to sleep so I rarely ever wake her.

I left my backpack at home cause I knew I wouldn't need it. On my way to school something seemed off, I sensed something off in the neighborhood, but I quickly brushed it aside cause it normally happens and it's normally nothing bad, just like a storm on the way or something.

The school grounds were littered with seniors, kids all from my grade. Soon the bell rang telling us it was time for school, the grounds quickly emptied. I followed behind them.

I made my way to my homeroom. Everyone in my class was at their assigned seats, so I made my way into mine. I sat down and looked around, I was really nervous, we all have to go up to the front of the class and say a few words, and I wasn't ready. I hated public speaking.

The bell soon rang, again, signalling that class had started. The teacher soon entered after the bell.

I heard the bell ring signalling the end of school, my peers were cheering and quickly made their way towards the doors, exiting the building. I followed suit but without the cheering.

I exited the school doors, the school grounds were filled with happy Alphas, and Betas. I just made my way towards the gates, avoiding everyone, I just wanted to get home as soon as possible.

The walk home seemed shorter than usual, must have been because I was happy and practically running home.

I entered the house and noticed something was very off, Mom wasn't home, she said she didn't have to work today. I quickly brushed it off thinking that maybe she got a last minute emergency call from one of her jobs.

I was making my way to my room when I heard a knock on the door. I quickly ran and opened the door, revealing the landlord.

"Is something wrong sir?" I asked the man nervously.

"Yes. Is your Mom here?" The landlord said without any emotion.

"No sir. I think she's at work." I told the man in front of me. "Why is their something you want to tell her? I can always deliver the message if that's it."

"That would be nice. Tell your Mom that if she doesn't pay the rent tonight, tomorrow you and your Mom are getting kicked out." The man said looked me in the eyes. He had a cold stare that sent shivers down my spine.

"Oh course sir." I said quickly, looking away from the man.

"Thank you, that is all I need. I'll be on my way now." The landlord said turning away from the house and walked to his car.

I closed the door quickly. This was bad and I knew it. I decided that I would wait for Mom to return home and tell her.

~TimeSkip~

I waited for Mom to return home now for a while. I looked at the clock, time was 10:00pm. Mom's never this late, where is she? I thought to myself, in a small panic.

I continued to wait for her. I was starting to lose hope on her coming home. I got up and headed to my room, cause if she didn't come home I'll be on my own.

I grabbed my bookbag and started packing things I would need in it. I ditched my notebooks and placed some of my cloths in it. I then ran to the bathroom and grabbed my suppressants. I was in my gym cloths from school since they had us change into them, so they could take our school uniforms.

I quickly changed out of my gym cloths and headed back to my room. I had some cloths packed and my suppressants. I grabbed a blanket and my bookbag and headed out to the living room.

I sat on the couch and waited some more. I sat in silence, not turning on the TV, and only leaving a small desk lamp on that was set on the stand next to the couch.

I stayed up all night waiting for her, and she never showed. I was in a panic the whole time. Around 8:00am the landlord showed up again. I went and answered the door and allowed him in.

"Did you get any sleep?" He asked me, I simply just shook my head. "Did your Mom even come home?" I just shook my head again. "Well sorry boy but your still getting booted."

I sighed and went to the couch, I grabbed my bookbag, the blanket I had with me and the book I was reading while I was waiting for Mom. I then walked out of the house, the landlord followed behind me.

He closed the door and locked it behind me, ensuring that you couldn't enter without a key, which I didn't have anyways. He gave me a pat on the back, and then made his way to his car. He got in, he started it up, and drove away without giving me a second glance.

I looked around and started crying, I couldn't stop them from coming. I took a deep breath and started walking down the street, making my way towards the cafe. I knew if I wanted to start anywhere, it had to be with a job.
