In this film Leonardo DiCaprio plays Jay Gatsby. This movie was a remake of the 1974 movie starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow. It was set in the 1920's during the Great Depression. Leo played along one of his best pal's Tobey Maguire.
Daisy Buchanan, who loved Jay Gatsby marries Tom Buchanan and she isn't happy with him she then hooks up with Jay again and is the happiest woman in the world because she is with her original lover again.
Myrtle Wilson is married to George Wilson and he owns a garage, and Myrtle loves Tom. When Jay, Daisy, Nick, Jordan, and Tom go to tow at the Plaza, Daisy wanted to go home, so Daisy and Jay start heading back, Myrtle thought it was Tom, so she rushes in the road and gets hit by Daisy (who was driving). They pinned everything on Gatsby.
At the ending of the film Gatsby gets shot by George and then he then he kills himself, Daisy and Tom go away for a while.
