Auroras POV
As I wake up tucked in the pit of my mothers wing , I start to notice she seems very hot. I look over at her and put my head on her forehead, she is burning up! "Mother wake up." She turns and groans opening her eyes to look at me. "Beastie what is it I am tried baby" "I know but it's morning and your burning up are you feeling ok?"
"Not really" she mutters. "What's wrong?" I ask kinda worried. "I don't know I just feel Exhausted and heavy" "Maybe you should get some more rest mother I will get you a cold lead to put in your forehead to bring the fever down, do you feel like you could eat something?" I ask her. "I think so" she said sleepily looking like she just got back from a long flight. "Very well I will go Prepare your breakfast meanwhile go back to sleep mother"
She just nods and rests her head back on the tree. I hop down from our Nest and turn to see if my father is around. "Father?" I Slightly yell trying my best not to wake up mother again. I hear cawing being me. I turn around and he sits on a branch just looking at me. "Father good morning, listen mother is not feeling good so Perhaps you could get her a cold wet leaf to so I can put it on her head, I need to bring down her fever. Nodding he flys away to find something suitable to put over her. I walk back to my cottage I grew up in as a small child and pick some fresh Fruit and go in and wash them out then on a plate and get a glass of water for mother. Going In my old room I get a blanket from off my old bed. And gather my stuff and head off to take care of my mother. I walk back to the tree where my mother sleeps sick, and start to worry . "I hope she is ok, even if she is not I shall take care of her like has done for me so many times I shall return the favor" I say to myself. after a few minutes I get back to the tree and call out to father, he flys in the tree and lands next to mother with wet leafs in his beak. I Climb into the tree and sit next to her side. "Mother wake up I brought your Breakfast, and got you something To cool you down. She opens her eyes and looks at me, "Beastie" she says with smile. "Here mother i brought you some fruit and water. She tries to sit up but falls back weakly. "Here mother let me help you" I say as I sit her stuff down and help her sit up. "Here mother I say as I lay a blanket over her and give her the drink and food" I hand her the fruit and she takes a few bites, and drinks some water. And starts to put the fruit down. "No mother you need to eat to get stronger your very weak I scold her with a smile, she just rolls her eyes. "Last time I checked young one I am YOUR mother not the other way around my dear" I laugh at her.
"Yes mother i understand but right now I take care of you!" She smirks. I smirk back at her. But then my smile drops. "Mama?"
"Yes beastie?" She asks with knowing eyes.
"Are you going to be ok?" I ask her tears starting to form in my eyes. Taking notice of this she slowly puts her hand on my cheek to wipe away any tears that leave my eyes.
"Beastie baby look at me " I raise my head my eyes meeting hers. " I am a very strong woman I will be ok, I made a promise to always protect you and I can't do this if I am gone now can I my dear ?" She asks me a slight frown on her face. I look back down, "I guess" I say Tears still rolling down my face. I sigh ," I am sorry mother I just am so scared to lose you it scares me to see you like this " I say almost through tears. "This is all my fault I should have woke up last night and Saw that you were getting sick! I could have provented it" I say feeling guilty.
"Aurora Fae look at me young lady" Mother says in a stern tone. I look up at in her in slight shock. "Me getting sick has nothing to do with you, it's just a simple fever if nothing more, it's not your fault aurora do you understand me?" Mother asks tone still stern."yes mother, I should not have said that I am sorry" I look down in shame. Not wanting to look up and see angry eyes I stay looking at the ground, before I know it, I feel mother plant a kiss to my head. I look up. She smiles at me softly. Resting her head back on the tree she Pats the empty spot closer to her . I smile and scoot over toward her and she wraps her wing around me. "Let's rest"
"Yes mother" I say as I close my eyes and Slumber taking me once more.
