Tala layed next to Asy on the prickly green grass of the sun bathed hill top, resting under the shade of a tree, once bright green leaves starting to turn yellow at the tips as fall made its way in. School had started a week ago, though it was a calm Saturday. The two girls layed facing each other, legs intertwined gently as they quietly talked. Telling small jokes, sharing stories, or simply discussing school, family and other things.
The two were overjoyed at the time they had to bask in the others company, and both intended to make the time stretch as long as they could. "What are your plans after collage?" Tala asked. It was a question she had asked millions of times, yet Asy always seemed to have a different answer each time.
Ash had a million things she wanted to do and could never seem to make up her mind. "Well I want to move into an apartment or house with you, and become an author!" She chirped happily as she traced her fingers over the crevices in talas palm. Last time tala asked she had said she wanted to be a signer, and the time before that it was a cosmetologist.
If tala knew anything about Asy it was that she'd work hard and find some way to make all her dreams happen, and luckily she still had her whole life ahead of her to do so. Though no matter how many times Asy changed her mind on what she wanted to be, one thing always stayed consistent. She always wanted to stay with Tala.
Tala smiled and let the fingers on her free hand make their way through Asys long soft dirty blonde hair. "I think you'd make an amazing author," she encouraged with a small smile before kissing the tip of asys nose. Asy simply giggled a bit as her cheeks became tinted with a light pink. She let go of the taller girls hand to wrap her arms around Tala and hug her tightly. Tala returned the gesture, letting her head rest on top of the other girls.
Asy nuzzled into the soft fabric of the others blue and white hoodie, inhaling the scent of it. Asy loved the familiar scent of the other girl though she could never quite identify what is was.
Asy closed her eyes gently and let the peace of the moment engulf her, never wamting to move or even open her eyes. She would stay like this forever if she could, of course she knew soon enough they'd have to leave so they weren't walking home in the dark. Pushing that thought to the side of her mind she listened around them.
She tried to match her breathing to the long soft calming breaths of Tala and after a bit finally succeeded to breath in sinc with her lover. Apart from the gentle breaths the songs of birds could also be heard as the feathery animals started their migration for the winter that was to come. Very few were migrating this early though and most of the birds sat in the tree branches, chatting to one another as they danced around and chased eachother through the warm autumn air.
A few minutes later Asy opened her eyes as she felt a dry knot and an itch well up in her throat. She took one arm away from around Tala, bringing it to her mouth before violenting caughing into her sleeve, after a second having to use her other arm to hold her chest and stomach as she had a coughing fit. She felt like she had chocked on something and felt slight pain and discomfort and the coughs racked her body.
Tala had say up quickly in alarm at the others coughs and pulled Asy close to her, petting her back to try and help before grabbing her water bottle from the grass and giving it to say after opening it. Ash managed to hold back fought just long enough to take the bottle and quickly down some of the water, quite a bit of it dribbling down her chin or getting on her neck or cloths.
The water helped calm her coughing fit though she could still feel that itch in her throat, the discomfort it brought making her want to cough again. She simply drank more water messily before closing it and giving he bottle back to her worried girlfriend.
"Are you ok Asy? What happened?" She asked softly as she brushed the others hair away from their face, looking down at her with concern evident in her eyes.
"I don't know... I just started coughing," she says unsurly as she calms her breathing a bit and lays back against Talas chest while her back was rubbed by the other.
"Why don't we go back home. Maybe the airs too dry or you just need more water," Tala says softly as she picks Asy up while standing. The smaller nods and wraps her arms around the others neck, her fingers brushing against Talas short boyish cut blonde hair. Ash rested her head against the others chest and relaxed a bit as she was carried back home, though the knot in her throat still wouldn't go away for some reason.
She managed to hold back before they were almost home. She erupted into anger coughing fit and tried to cover her mouth as tala sped up to get home faster, soon reaching her house and getting inside as Asy tried to stop coughing. Tala have her the water bottle again before setting her ont he couch. "I'll go back you some tea," she says quickly after Asys coughing had calmed a bit before disappearing into the kitchen to make the warm drink, hoping her fragile girlfriend wasn't sick again as she so often was.
