Don't lie

Chapter 7

After celebrating the moment we went back downstairs. "are you okay?" Her mother asked me. "yea. I'm fine" I replied with the same lie I always tell.
"Im going to take maddy out for a couple hours is that okay?" she asked her mom. She answered with
"Yea that's fine." she opened the door and proceeded to walk outside she got into her car. I got in on the passenger side.
"Where are we going?" I asked with suspicion.
"It's a surprise" she answered.
She took me to McDonalds. it was only 9:30 so they were still serving breakfast. "what do you want?" She asked.
"You don't have to get me anything" I told her.
"No." she said sternly. "your eating. now what do you want?"
"Just a hash brown I guess."
"And to drink?" She asked me in her cute little voice.
"Orange juice?" I said back, mocking the way she asked me. she smiled and pulled up to the drive through and rolled down the window so that I could feel the cool air.
"Welcome to McDonalds what can I get you?" The person running the drive through asked.
"I need four hash browns and two orange juices."
"Is that all?" The woman asked making sure.
"Yes."
"Okay that will be $8.48" she told her "please pull up to the first window"
Bre did as the woman said.
"$8.48" she repeated as she handed her a $10 bill.
"Your change is $2.52" the woman said while handing her her change.
Bre pulled up to the next window. they handed her a McDonald bag and two drinks.
"Thanks" she said. and handed me my drink. she pulled into a parking space. she opened up the bag and handed me two hash browns.
"I only wanted one." I told her.
"I know but I got you two so you better eat it!" She teased. she turned the radio on as I started eating. we didn't talk. I just admired her beauty. after we were done she pulled out of mcdonlads.
"Was that my surprise?" I asked.
"No that would be a silly surprise!"
I leaned my head against the window and fell asleep.
