Chapter 1

Author POV

(*the alarm goes off*)

"Ugg,"groaned Oliva.For her its was another one of her usual Monday sucks mood.

So as usual she got out of bed,had a nice long shower and then went downstairs stairs to get breakfast.

"Mom I think we ran out of eggs!,shouted Olivia as she grabbed an apple from the fruit basket.

"What do you mean we ran out of eggs Olivia.I just bought them last week?

"But you know that I  both have a big appetite."

Ok don't  worry I'll just work a double shift at work today so that means I'll probably be back later than usual so don't wait up."her mother said.

Olivia frowned,"But mom....you work to much though. I'll just work a double shift today."

"But that means you'll be home late."

"Mom you know that I don't want you to work your but off while I'm sitting at home like a queen.I have to work as much as you do.Don't worry about me now",Olivia says hating the fact that her mother has to work so hard.

"Pumpkin you know that you don't have to work.....but okay.Now have a apple and go to school."

"Bye mom,I love you."

"Bye,love you",Her mom shouted as Olivia was reaching for the door knob and got out before her mom could say anything else.

"I wish my mom didn't have to work to much".

She then made her way to the bus stop and waited for a bus.

Olivia's POV

School was just another bore.Same old people everyday.

It gets tired if you ask me.But some days are better than other and I guess that's all you got to hope on to.

As I walked the corridors of Mays High,I could help but gag at the site of those obnoxious popular jocks and cheerleaders in my year.

I mean it's like their only purpose for being at school is either to bully the freshmen or hook up with each other.

I honestly don't even know how the make it to the next grade because they literally don't even pay attention or they just disrupt the educator throughout the whole lesson.

The bell rings announcing the start of the first period

Anyway,making my way to my first class I bump in to my childhood bestfriend,Matt.

Matthew and I are what you call inseparable.The special thing about us and our relationship is that we were friends before we were even born,seeing as our parents were bestfriends.

"Goodmorning sunshine.Did you sleep well?,Max asked as he hugged me."Goodmorning to you too.I slept like baby,I answered.

"Good,let's head to class shall we."
"Let's go then,"I said.

And just like any other day.School was boring but having Max by my side always made it bearable.

I was in my last class of the day and god knows how much I had been waiting for this time off the day.

See the time about me is that it's not school I that I don't like,in fact I love school and learning.

Call me a nerd or whatever I don't care....I only dread coming to school because it means I actually have to be around people.

I just don't find it necessary to socialize with people.Im fine by myself.Im not a introvert or anything.

I just don't  think socializing is necessary.

Anyways the school bell fffiiinnnaaalllyyy rings announcing the end of the school day.

Funny how after an exhausting day at school I still have to got to my job.

My mom says she does not want me working because we have money but I know she is busting her ass to give me the life that I have right now.

And it might not be much but it's something.

So right now I'm headed to my job which is ten minutes away from my school if you are walking which is exactly what I am doing.Gotta save money right.

Ten minutes later

When I get to my work place,im a waiter at this small diner called Crusty Cub,i see that it's a full house and when i look behind the counter i see Brie calling me over.

When I get to the staff room,I see that we are short on staff.

I sigh,"man this is going to be a long day."

I changed quickly in to my work attire and quickly get to taking orders in the diner.

53 customers later,my shift has finally ended.I can finally go home.Thank you lord.

I get changed into my regular clothes and head out and thankfully Brie,my co-worker's boyfriend had just come to pick her up so he gave me a ride home.

I get home to my mom cooking some lasagna and my stomach starts growling which is understandable because the last time I ate was at school.

My mom dishes up for us.I say grace and we start digging in.And I have to say,man my mom sure know her way around the kitchen.

After we finished eating,I did the dishes and went to bed and while thinking about how boring my day is gonna be at school tomorrow because even Matty is not going in,I fell asleep.
