Finding him

Another few months, Nicos birthday later and Nico was in the cafeteria when he spotted some new kids. Him and other went to introduce themselves. Horror struck Nicos face as he realized who it was. At this point his life had gotten better, now he had a massive following on social media because of his  singing and composing.

The seven found the last highschool in America. Nico had to be there unless Hades brought him to Italy. That wouldn't be very far of a stretch.

They had been walking through the halls when a girl in a wheelchair came up to them.

"Hi, you must be new here. I'm Ella, I'm sure you'll love it here. I'm one of Nicos friends but then again who isn't"
"Who's Nico?"
"Nico Di Angelo, the nicest person ever. Everyone here loves him but how could we not. He's just so amazing to everyone"
"Nico Di Angelo?"
"Yep, everyone's in the cafeteria. I was heading there now. Since your new he'll probably walk over to meet you guys"
"Ok, lead the way Ella"

Once Nico saw the seven he made a mad dash out the doors confusing so many people.

"Why'd he run away?"
"We used to be friends with him before he moved"
"Oh, you should go follow him. Preferably before Cassia kills you for making him run away"
"Notes"

They found Nico sitting in the ground in the corridor.

"Come on Nico! They are just some mortals you'll forget once we get back to camp"
"I'm not going back there"
"What?! Why?!"
"Because this is the first time in a long time that I felt like people actually wanted me there. The first time people didn't look at me like I was just some roach. I'm never going back"
"But Nico-"
"You can't change my mind Percy. None of you even tried to help me even though you knew I wasn't happy there. None of you, I at least expected my sister to care Hazel. I guess you don't now so just leave me alone"

Cassia walked into this argument about a minute late. So that's Hazel, what a shame. Nico only spoke good of her and everyone else.

"You didn't want out help-"
"Of course I did. What is the purpose of being there for someone if you aren't going to help them through things. I though that's what family did, cousin"

The words were bitter on Nicos tongue. Cassia had never seen this side of Nico. He was bitter and hurt for good reasons too.

"Nico please-"
"You guys never understand did you. You guys were like a family to me. Especially after Bianca died. What the hell happened"
"Well you didn't act like you care"
"Neither did you, only two of you acted like you weren't forced to care about me. Hazel and Jason. Most of you acted like I was forcing you to be friends with me. I thought you guys hated me so I push you away because it seemed to be what you wanted then all of a sudden you care. Do you know what it feels like to have your emotions played with like that? Do you know how badly I wanted you to treat me like a person. Not just a nuisance. I don't need you now and I will never need you again. Leave this place unless you really plan on going here for school. If you do then I'm Nico Di Angelo and we don't know each other. That is final"
