Dear you,

Merry Christmas! I don't know if you celebrate it or not but my family is pretty big on it. They like to go out two weeks before Christmas to go get a tree. It's been like that since I was born. My mom is from Montana and my dad is from Utah, so they're pretty used to snow, I honestly don't know why they chose to move to New Mexico, but here we are. Christmas in New Mexico, no snow but like hell we aren't going to act like there isn't any.

They always have family flown down here for the holiday, my dad's parents are getting too old for it though, so we might have to stop this tradition and find some other middle ground for it all. My mom is an only child so we don't have to worry about any aunts, uncles, or cousins from her side not being able to make it but my dad is the third of five, so I think I have plenty of family to go around. I hope you like them, they're really cool people.

Anyway, we normally can fit everyone in our house (its ginormous, my mom is a doctor and my dad is a professor at a nearby college). But this year one of my cousins got married to their soulmate and my aunt had another baby there aren't quite enough rooms for all of them anymore. I've met the guy once and once was definitely enough, he was a stuck up prick who would not let my cousin do anything without his say so or approval. Looking at them together it seems that they are perfect together, my cousin doesn't have the best rap when it comes to decisions, so I guess they balance each other out. I just hope as he gets more and more comfortable with us the more he loosens up and isn't as controlling.

I don't know, my cousin is younger than me and I've always been protective of them, I'm just worried.

Hey, when we have our first Christmas together would we come to my parents' house or would we go to yours? I'd like to know how you celebrate Christmas, if you do. If you don't I don't care, but my parents are definitely still going to make you come for the holidays.
