I silently walk into the house, slipping my heels off at the front door. Walking up the creaky steps to my room, I open the flick on the lights, jumping as I see my aunt sitting on my bed, a serious expression her face. Rolling my eyes, I set Mya's carrier on my bed and walk over to my closet, pulling out a onesie and fresh diaper for her and then a set of pajama's for me.
"Our new neighbors came over for dinner today," she says as I began to change Mya's daiper. "They had a son your age over."
"And?" I ask impatiently, trying to calm my daughter's kicking legs. My aunt stands and glares at me.
"We have rules in this house young lady, and if you don't start following them, you're going to find yourself on the street trying to support yourself and that mistake you call your daughter," she says. I look up from my current job and stare at the bitch I call my aunt like she's crazy.
"Get out of my room," I say bluntly.
"Excuse me?" she asks, anger filling her voice.
"Get. Out. My. Room," I say slower. She clenches her teeth before storming out, slamming the door behind her and yelling for my uncle. Rolling my eyes I turn back to Mya and continue to change her. Buttoning her onesie, I let her lay for a minute as I change myself, removing my bra for her sake. Picking her up, I grab my book bag and pull out my homework for tomorrow. Climbing in bed, I lay it out in front of me and grab a pillow, fixing it in my lap for Mya to rest on. Propping her head on my arm, I adjust my left breast for her to easily attach herself to so she can feed and once she's attached to my nipple, I begin to work. Nearly ten minutes later, Mya's fast asleep, still hungrily eating, her hands on my chest, and I'm not even close to finished with me work. Groaning aggravatedly, my head shoots up as something hits the outside of my window. Looking over, my eyes stare into stormy gray eyes. I lift an eyebrow at the boy and lifts his window up. Sighing, I wrap Mya's blanket over her and my breast and make my way to my window, opening it wide.
"My new neighbors our schools new psychopath, great," he mutters. I roll my eyes and stand up straight.
"Look douche-lord, if you called me here to insult me I'm just going to leave," I tell him. He lifts an amused eyebrow at my nickname for him and leans against his window ledge.
"Actually psycho, I wanted to ask you about something," he says. I wait patiently for him to ask and he nods his head towards Mya. "So she is yours?" he asks, referring to the bundle in my arms.
"Yeah, she's mine," I reply. He nods and looks at his floor. Lifting a brow, I clear my throat. "Is that all because I have confusing Calculus to get back to and it's just going to get even more confusing the longer I stand here and forget all I learned," I tell him. He laughs and looks up at me.
"You suck at Calculus?" he asks. I roll my eyes and go to shut my window. "No wait, I can help. I'm surprisingly good at that," he says. Lifting a brow up at him, I give him a 'Oh really' look. "I'm being serious. I have an A in there, just let me help," he says. Sighing, I open my window back up and nod.
"Just don't hurt yourself getting in, and wait in here while I lay her down," I inform him, leaving the window and the room all together. Poking my head back in the door, smile at him. "By the way, my names Avriana," I tell him.
"Vincent," he repsonds. I nod and walk back out the room. When I return from laying Mya down for bed, douchelord is sitting on my bed erasing my work. "Hey, you said you were helping not erasing!" I yell, mentally wincing. He looks up at me and shrugs.
"You put the wrong answers down," he responds. Glaring at him, I take a seat beside him and he points to the first problem.
"You totally screwed this up. I'm not even sure how you got your answer," he says, writing down the question for me. "Find the limit of the function at F(a) = Lim x→3a3-27/a2-9? If we put a=3 in the function then we will get the undefined form as 0/0. We can also factorize the denominator and numerator to solve this type of function. We can rewrite it as, F(a)= Lim x→3a3-(3)3/a2-(3)2. Now we need to recall formulas as,
A2 - B2 = (A-B)(A+B) and A3 - B3 = (A-B)(A2+AB+B2 ). Now applying these formulas in the function we will get, Lim x→3 (a-3)*(a2+3a+9)/(a+3)*(a-3). Now a-3 gets cancel with a-3 no we have,Lim x→3 (a2+3a+9)/(a+3), Put a=3, = 9+9+9 / 6, = 27/6, = 9*3/3*2, = 3 gets cancel with 3 we get 9/2," he says looking at me. I glare at him hard and he bites back his laughter.
"Screw you and screw Calculus," I tell him darkly. He shakes his head and moves on to the next problem. Nearly an hour later my work is done and I'm freaking exhausted from all this Calculus crap.
"You should probably go back to your room Vincent," I tell him, laying back on my bed. He stands and nods, stretching and popping his joints.
"Probably right, see you in class tomorrow," he says, walking my window. I nod and yawn. "Oh, and try to refrain from stabbing me in the side with your heel, that hurt like a bitch,' he tells me with a frown. I laugh and nod.
"Try to refrain from saying anything stupid," I retort. He laughs and nods.
"Touche," he replies. I nod and smile, watching him leave. Sighing, I shake my head and turn off my lamp. Climbing in under my covers, I shut my eyes and immediately am overcome with sleep.
