Forgetting Me 

“Is she ok can I go see her?” I said waiting for the Doctor to answer 

“yes  she is in a stable condition but...”The Doctor said looking at me very heavily 

“there’s a but what is it?”I said with tears in my eyes

“but we have examined her brain and we have talked to her and she doesn’t remember much”Said the Doctor 

“So what are you saying”I said grabbing the Doctors arm

“Doctor your needed in the examiner room”A Nurse said lurking around the corner. The Doctor just walked away. I walked to room 19 and saw Riley In a hospital bed sleeping with her Mother sitting next to her.

“Phoebe come in ”Riley’s mum said 

“umm I just wanted to see if she was al right I feel so bad”I said to her mum

“but you shouldn’t feel bad it wasn’t your fault ok now don’ blame your self” she said 

“ok, but um do you think I could just spend some time along with her for a little while?”I asked her mum 

“of course you can just don’t wake her up ok”She said 

“ok”I said watching her mum walk out the hospital room door. I walked over to the seat and sitting down, I saw her sleeping her blonde long hair in a messy plat with the small layers falling out of the plat and falling across her face and her perfect little face with a little bit of the make up from last night still on and some dried up miskarra running down her check from when she was crying  I put my head in to my hands I was yelling at my self in my head and I looked up to the door. 

“Riley I am so sorry if only I wasn’t busy looking at the little boy feeding the birds and paying more attention to you and telling you to get out of the way this all wouldn’t of happened and it is all my fault and I will never forgive my self”I said looking at Riley 

“Mum is that you....”Riley said waking up.

“no its me Phoebe” I said as Riley let go of my hand 

“umm are you the nurse and where’s my mum?”she asked 

“no I am your best......”I was interrupted by Riley’s mum

“she is your brothers best friend” said Riley's mum

Umm yeah”I said going along with what she was saying 

“oh well umm why are you here with me?”Riley asked 

“ well he’s umm just down at the cafe getting dinner for us so yeah”I said Walking over to the door 

“umm I am going to go wait out side for George”I said putting my hand on the door as the door opened 

“ahhhhhhh”I screamed when I saw George standing in the hall 

“umm are you alright Phoebe”George said holding the sandwich’s in his left hand and holding my waist with his other.

“ yeah I am fine just fine umm I think I should go home it late and my mum is probably waiting for me so umm bye”I said walking out of the door

“umm I can take you home if you want I mean like I know I can’t drive yet but I can walk you home if you really want me to”George said putting the food in the table next to the bed

“sure that would be nice”I said starting to smile.

“so why did you offer to walk me home”I asked looking at the floor

“I don’t know I guess just because your my sisters best friend and you have been in my sisters life since  your two were babies and now look at you your pretty and your cute and I couldn’t let anything happen to you”George said looking at me 

“so umm can you tell me what happened to your dad how come you don’t talk about him” George asked looking at me face

“Umm well he dead when I was 5,you know when I was 5 and I was all depressed and all that”I said 

“umm yeah I remember the only person who could calm you down and stop you from doing bad thing was me”He said

“yeah well that was why I was all depressed and stuff like that”I said 

“know tell me something I don’t already know about you”I asked George 

“umm well I have had straight A’s my inter life”He said 

“I already know that tell me something else please”I said looking at him when he was looking at the ground.

“umm hi Riley I was wondering if you would like to be my partner for the english project?” I asked 

“Riley is it?”she said 

“ yeah”

“ sure I will to be your partner” she said

“great  well i will see you at my house”I said

“ no I can’t the doctor told me not to go over to peoples houses just incase I have a malfunction and I faint”she said I had never seen her so stressed I guess its because Its her first week back from when she had her crash with a car.

“ so can we take a break please i want to ask you something”I said to Riley on the couch on her room 

“sure what is it” Riley was very conversant about things and she never really backed down from thing

“ so do you remember me before you had your crash” I asked

“ no I don’t all I know is that your best friends with my brother right”she said smiling 

“ no look listen to me I am your best friend we have been since we were 2 and I just need you right now and I know that deep down you will find the person I know and the person that knows me and I.....”I was interrupted. 

“I don’t know what your talking about and your kind of creeping me out”she said getting up from where she sat on her bed

“and I think you should go home It late” she said opening the door to tell me to leave

“oh umm ok well bye”I said walking out the door.

I was walking home when I saw Riley at the corner of my eye she was walking across the road and a car was coming.

“RILEY GET OUT OF THE WAY”I yelled running to the side of the  road. The car was really close to Riley. I didn’t want her to get hit by the Car again so I jumped in front of her, the car hit me I fell to the floor I hit my head to hard, I just lay there with my Eyes closed I could feel Riley’s cold hand on my back.

Riley’s POV

I lifted Phoebe  from the ground and I saw that there was blood coming out of her head I felt like she was a big part of my life yet I didn’t know her that well. I closed my eyes and I saw when Phoebe and I were little playing and I saw all the memories of her and I realised that Phoebe was gone for ever and the last flash back I saw was me getting hit by the car. I went back to reality I cried so hard I had just lost my best friend and I will never get her back.

“I will never forget you Phoebe”. 

RIP PHOEBE PETERS 

I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU.
