If I were to make a wish just for once, I want to make a wish for the people around me, happy. No more, no less. If they are happy then I'll be delighted to see that smiles on their faces. But I guess smiles aren't just the indication of happiness, sometimes, there is tears too. I never really knew what's that feeling when you're so happy, you cry.
Well, there's me, wandering around the block to school. It's cold and I usually wear the sweater my sweet grandma gave to me. It's handmade and special, it's five years old now and I'm planning on spending the rest of my life wearing that sweater on winters.
Since there's nothing really special but a complete school work for today, there's no excitement in me.
While staring at the traffic light to turn green, I started to take a peek on the people around me. I have that habit for real, and sometimes, when I spotted a beautiful person, I turn to stare at them. Because I like looking at beautiful things. That's a habit of mine since I was young.
I never realized that I arrived the school gates. It's still the same community high school that almost all of my elementary and middle school schoolmates go to. So basically, some of us know each other so well, we all knew their secrets, on how they ended up calling to that names, or who are the people that we should avoid to. As for me, I have my bestfriend, Akane She's this model like girl that looks like a complete doll. Everyone, as in every guys are after her. And I don't really mind blocking some jerks on her. They don't deserve a piece of her.
Meanwhile, me... I'm a simple and most plain girl. Everyone often told me they've seen me somewhere when they really not since my face is common. I used to wear glasses in my middle school year but I've decided to undergo a surgery and I ended up with a good eyesight now. Everybody even stopped calling me four eyes, which is kinda good on my side.
Akane and me, are complete opposite. She's really the head turner and whenever we're going out, guys were drooling over her.
Me? I'm always beside her. Sometimes I felt bad because people notice just Akane and only Akane when in fact, i'm beside or behind her whatsoever. But thankfully, I learned how to deal with it.
I entered the classroom and saw everyone on their daily basis. I sat on my seat and decided to wait for Akane to arrive. Not long after that she arrived while fixing her hair.
"I never expect this. When did you learn how to come before time?" she asked. I smiled and take her joke lightly.
"Ah, the weather is good you know." I replied back. I saw her roll her eyes in a playful manner. She sat at the chair in front of me and grab something from her bag. When she seems found what she needs, she placed it on my desk. It was a gift wrap with a yellow ribbon on top.
"My mother said to give it to you. Open it!" she giggled. I smiled and examine the box first. Then I opened it.
"A scarf!!" I almost shouted. I love scarfs and Akane's mother usually give me gifts like that since she designs stuffs like that.
"You like it?" she asked. I look at her before nodding and hugging the scarf. She patted the top of my head and happilly chatted with me a little bit.
Just after that, our teacher comes in and he's with an unbelievably gorgeous man. I look at him and ask myself how life can be sometimes unfair. This guy is handsome while I have no handsome friends. He wears our school uniform but he still manage to look beyond handsome on it. He looks... clean.
"Everyone! Please seat down and we have a new student here." he started. The new student bowed and smiled.
"Hello everyone I'm Tomoe Ryouta. Glad to meet you all." his voice enveloped the whole place and he was told to sit at the empty chair at the middle. Akane can't seem to act calm. She was fixing her hair every now and then and that makes me realize that she finds that guy cute. That what she does when she's attracted to a guy.
