Third Person POV
Sometimes in life, it is hard to see the bright side whenever bad things keep repeatedly happening. You want to restart, however, more bad things keep happening at your fresh start. It seems like the day has been going on forever and nothing can make it better.

Well, it was that type of day for Camila. It's 7th grade and Camila has been struggling for a couple of weeks of trying to live without her best friend. Y/n had started to drift away from her and the girls. None of them knew why, and there was no explanation from Y/n. Something changed and the girls felt so frustrated that they couldn't help their dear friend. Camila had taken it the hardest. Before Dinah, Lauren, Normani, or Ally, it was just Y/n. Y/n and Camila for pretty much the majority of her life. Now, she doesn't have her anymore.

It was the end of the day and Camila had wanted to wait for the majority of her classmates to leave before she packed up. Once the coast was clear, she made her way to her locker. She had put in her combination and opened her locker. As she was opening it, a piece of paper had fallen down to her feet.

Puzzled by the item, Camila had picked it up. The paper was folded but was addressed to her. "To Camila," she whispered. She opened it, and what happened next was going to be one of the many many letters she was going to receive from a mysterious person. But this one was going to be the most important one because it was the first, it was letter #1.

Letter #1

Dear Camila,

Do you believe in fate or coincidence? More importantly, what about destiny? You might not believe me, but I'm from the future. You can laugh all you want, but I promise I am. You don't know it yet, but you and I will end up together. We will be those typical couples that are madly in love with each other. But for how long, well I can't really expose that to you. But don't feel discouraged by time.

Before I say anything else, let's get something straight, you are loved. I know that for sure. Days will be bad. You'll feel alone, not wanted, and just scared for the future. But don't be. There are people that are around you that have loved you since they have laid eyes on you. One of those people happens to be me. I have loved you for so long that I don't really know how to love anyone else at this point. But then again, you might laugh at that statement. Like, who really knows love, especially since how young we are. Well, like I said, this letter is from the future. I'm currently typing this up while you and I are having the time of our lives. And I just know myself. Right now, I am thinking about how much of a great person you are and how lucky I am to have met you. And how I have to thank everyone in this universe to have you actually love me back.

But I think that's enough spoilers for the future. Let's go back to those questions. For me, I believe in destiny and fate. There's somebody in life that you are destined to be with. You can have others but they won't be the "one". The one that will make black and white to color. The one that will make your heartbeat so fast that you feel like you're going to die. The one at the other side ready to take your hand and say "fuck the world, it's you and I together forever". That's how I know you and I were destined together. Because through all the bad, you've loved me for me. And no matter what happens, I will never stop loving you.

But that's all I got for letter #1. Before I end it, just remember to smile a bit more. You look beyond beautiful when you smile. Also, don't be afraid to be who you are, I love that side of you, the one that not everyone sees. Lastly, just know that your future soulmate loves little hidden secrets or more meaning to something so little. You don't realize it now, but the word arial will mean something to you.

From,
Your Future Soulmate

Ever since that day, Camila couldn't stop reading her "Future Soulmate" letters. She always thought the future thing was a joke, because that was impossible. And her soulmate would always talk about the future like they were certain that they were gonna be together. Before she knew it, Camila had grown fond of these letters. It was her little secret and something that made her happy since Y/n became so distant.

She didn't know when, but the letters would appear out of the most random days. Camila would wake up every day hoping another letter would appear at her locker. Now being a senior in high school, she's had a massive collection of them in her room. However, it stopped once she was a junior in high school. The last letter she ever received from her "Future Soulmate" was a goodbye letter. One that made Camila cry weeks on end. It was like experiencing her first heartbreak over a person she didn't know who it was, but she was certain that she also loved them back. That type of heartbreak isn't something that's easy to get over with. But the last few words that her soulmate said to her was, "I have loved you for as long as I can, but Cami time has caught up to me. Don't be sad about it and please don't cry. Just remember I love you and you will forever be in my mind. But when you do actually realize who I am just please live in the moment. Don't think about time, just think about me. And trust me, we will live happily."

The girls knew about the "Future Soulmate" since middle school, but it always pissed them off that they couldn't figure out who it was. However, they still tried their best to comfort their best friend in a hard time. Camila has only fallen in love twice in her life. And the "Future Soulmate" was her second, but the thing is, she doesn't realize Y/n was her first.
