24th August-Friday
And I'm hyperventilating standing in front the mirror, judging myself and feeling insecure. Looking at the peach summer dress that clinged tightly on my thick, round torso, that exposed my full, round chocolate knees and thick legs that went well with my black gladiators.
And asked myself 'should I really do this?, I mean I'm not obliged to, he seems like a really nice guy, but is it really worth?, is HE worth it?'
I realized standing in front of the mirror and contemplating on this wouldn't really help so I grabbed my cream Coco chanel sling bag, shoved my Iphone and purse, just in case he didnt pay and headed for Sandton City.

2'o clock turned to quarter to 3 within minutes and my patience began to run in a thin line. Changing classy positions on how a lady should sit and tapping my left foot then my nails against the table. And suddenly the place remains quiet every head turned to the entrance. And as I turned my neck, of course there he was looking like a god he is and being the show stopper he was born to be, with his black, leather, louis vuiton jacket and his shirt slightly opened , revealing his shaved brown chest. With his shaded Ray Bans. He stood there for a while, searching for my face and when he found me, he approached me swinging his Mustang keys around his long, thin, brown finger.
"Sorry I'm late, got caught up." He sat down, not bothered by his lack of punctuality.
"Caught up on what?" I questioned, irritated by his attitude.
"doesnt matter, I'm here arent I?" He took off his Ray Bans revealing his hazel brown eyes. I melted, for a second then remembered, I was angry.
" clearly punctuality doesnt mean anything to you."
" look I'm sorry, I'm here now, it wont happen again, I promise. Can we just please overlook that and carry on with the, what do you call it? Date. By the way you look beautiful" He looked at me straight in the eye and waited for my reply.
I kept the gaze and chuckled. Man this guy is great.
"Its okay. Thank you, dont look so bad yourself. Oh and don't let it happen again. "
"Have you eaten yet?"
"No." I simply replied.
He then snapped his thin, long, brown fingers in the air. Within seconds the waitress came swaying her petite waist.
"What would you like to order sir, ms." The waitress asked without even looking my direction. Surprisingly Lebrone kept the gaze.
" whats your expensive white wine?"
"Chardonnay." The waitress replied and unnecessarily dragged the word with a slur.
"We will have that with lobsters. " Lebrone requested.
"Is that all sir?"
" Thats all, thanks." Then he winked at her and dismissed her with a smirk. To be quite frank I've never seen this man smile.
" That was rather breathtaking, is that how you speak to all the female ladies you meet?"
He chuckled. "Im perplexed, what are you talking about?"
" I mean if you couldn't get that, I guess it doesn't really matter." I told him.
He ignored my statement and asked me a question that caught me off guard." You take things so serious, how old are you Ms Manaka?"
"Take things seriously? In what sense? And I'm only 24." I replied slightly tilting my head.
"24 hmm."
" it's kind of hard to figure out how old you are , since you lack punctuality and flirt with every female you meet." I replied.
"Woah, I'm only 26, how old did you think I was?" He replied being defensive about his behaviour.
"Oh, 26 kind of hard to believe since you act like such a kid, I would've sworn you were 21, cause I mean you soccer players and your alter egos tend to get to you people" then I took a long sip of the white wine the waitress had brought.
He chuckled, shook his head then confessed by saying. " You know I've never met anyone who speaks to me the way you do."
I was flattered by his confession, but ofcourse I wouldnt let it be known or get to me and so I said." Perhaps the girls, or rather people you usually speak to lack class and a mentality of a grown being."
He bit his full, plump lower lip then placed his arms on the table and came nearer my face then slightly gave me a nod. " I fail to comprehend why a gorgeous lady such as yourself has no man in her life. " then he sat back and took a sip of the white wine.
" what makes you so sure? I could be doing you a favour. " then i threw a smirk in his gorgeous, brown face.
"Hmm is that so? I find that hard to believe, but I must say I feel rather fortunate. I mean im in Sandton City, in such a beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous lady, now that rarely happens."
The waitress brought our food and I was famished.
"The food is lovely. Was never a fan of lobster, but this is good." I said nodding my head and swallowing the so gracious food.
" I'm glad you like it. My dad would literally drag me out of bed every Saturday and we'd go fishing back in Cape Town. I should take you down there sometime, I promise you'll love it. " he smiled, for the first time and it was a beautiful scene.
" I'd love that." I replied letting my guard down.
He smiled, again and the rest of the day went with a blur.
As we were about to stand, he rushed behind me and pulled the chair out.
"Thank you." I gave a genuine smile.
"welcome my lady." He slightly bowed and giggled.
As we walked to my car he hooked his arm around mine and I could feel his biceps and triceps work antagonistically with each other and compress my full, thick arm.
" so would you care to be my audience? Ive got a game tomorrow and your presence would be greatly appreciated in Loftus Stadium."
"Are you asking me out on a date, again?"
"Yes, this time its a date." He gave me a nod then opened my BMW's door.
I got in and said. "ill be there." With a smile on my face. Then he gently closed my door, I opened the window and said. " thanks for lunch, it was great, guess I'll see you tomorrow. "
"Its a date, drive safe." He retreated and he sauntered away.
And caught up in traffic I began reminiscing on the lunch. 'He's not bad after all.' I thought to myself.
