Chapter Seven

Adrien was attending a ceremony. And boy was it boring. I'd rather be fighting Chloé's guards right now. He tried his best to pay attention to what was going on. He was zoned out until something grabbed his attention.

"Isn't there someone protecting that mansion?"

"Yeah. But he can't take on all of us."

"But we don't want to fight."

"Right. We just want the princess that he's hiding."

"Marinette? Why not Queen Chloé? She is the ruler there now."

"For certain reasons that I can tell you privately."

Adrien felt angry. They better not lay a hand on Marinette!

He watched as they left. He looked down at the black kitten in his lap. "Why don't you follow them for me?" He asked quietly. Plagg looked at him then jumped off his lap and began to follow them.

Plagg's POV(yes I'm aware he's a cat)

The small black kitten quietly followed the two mysterious men. He followed them through the kingdom. The two men stopped. They stopped. What do they want with that girl they were talking about. Adrien didn't seem to like them.

He listened as they began to talk. "The girl is the perfect one to marry the eldest prince."

"We would be taking her across the sea though."

"That stupid guardian of hers wouldn't care."

"Fine. We leave tomorrow."

I must find some way to tell Adrien! The small kitten ran as fast has his four legs could carry him. He reached Adrien and hopped on his lap. Adrien patted his back. I must warn Tikki! Back at the palace Plagg hopped onto the prince's bed next to Tikki. "I have important news!" The kitten mewed. "Two guys are going to kidnap that girl Adrien tells us about tomorrow." He finished.

"What do we do? He can't understand us." The grey and white kitten replied with her squeaky voice. Plagg turned his head towards Adrien as he walked in. "I got this." Plagg said before getting in front of Adrien.

Adrien's POV

Adrien watched Plagg moving around weirdly. "What are you doing?" He asked the kitten. Plagg pulled a picture of Marinette out of Adrien's bag. Then Tikki walked over and began to hiss.

What are those two trying to tell me? Adrien shrugged it off and began to pack. "Marinette is gonna be so happy to meet you two." He said petting Plagg. Tikki and Plagg were still focused on the picture.

Suddenly Plagg ran off. Adrien looked at Tikki. "Where's he going?" He asked the kitten. Tikki just licked her paw before curling up on his bed.

Plagg's POV

Plagg ran out of the castle and started running as fast as he could towards the forest. I must find the girl before she gets hurt. But I don't know where she is. Plagg kept running until he reached a river.

Plagg carefully hopped on stones to get across the river. Once he reached the other side, he went to hide in a bush. I have to remember what Adrien told me. He had a map. Plagg remembered the paths on the map.

Of course! I just have to follow my memory of the map to find Marinette. Plagg left the bush and began to run north. After nearly three hours of walking, he hid under a bush. I need to eat. He sniffled the air and smelled a mouse. This is against my better judgement. He stalked the mouse and caught it. After he ate the mouse he fell asleep.

The next day Plagg woke up and continued his journey. I have to go! The small kitten ran as fast as he could when he heard voices behind him. It took him another day but he finally reached the mansion. The girl is in there.

Marinette's POV

Marinette finished making Alya's outfit. "Here you go." She said. Alya smiled and thanked her before leaving. I wonder when Chat's coming back. I miss him. It has been two months and she hasn't seen or heard from him.

She walked out into the garden. There was a rustling from a nearby bush. "Hello?" She called out. After a moment a black kitten came out. "Hello there cutie." She said. She picked him up. He already had a small collar with a bell on it.

There was a peice of paper in the collar. "For my princess. From Chat." She read the not out loud. "But where's Chat?" She asked. The kitten just looked at her. She brought him into the mansion and set him in her room. "Stay here." She told the kitten before going to the kitchen to get him some food.

Plagg's POV

Plagg sat on the girl's bed. Found her! She seems tired. The girl walked back in with a bowl of cheese. Plagg sniffed it before taking a bite. Marinette sat the bowl on her lap and Plagg laid down on her lap, eating the cheese.

After he ate, he laid his head on the girl's stomach. Something sounds funny. Could there be? A child! The small black kitten looked at Marinette. Then back at her stomach. I must protect her until Adrien comes home. Plagg purred as Marinette began to pet him.

This won't be so bad. She seems like a nice person. Plagg got up as Marinette stood up. She walked out the door and he followed. I can't let her out of my sight. He followed her to the front room. A brunette was sitting on a couch.

"Hey Marinette." The brunette said when Marinette walked in. Plagg hopped onto her lap. "Whose this?" She asked. Marinette sat down next to her. "This is Plagg." Marinette said, pointing to his green collar with his name written on it.

Plagg curled up on her lap. She seems nice. I trust her. "He is a gift from Chat." Marinette said. "Did he come back yet?"

"No not yet."

There was a knock on the door. "I'll get that." Alya said. Plagg got up and laid next to Marinette. He heard a scream coming from the door. Oh no! He noticed a guy coming up from behind Marinette. The kitten hissed. Marinette turned around and let out a scream. She tried to run but another man grabbed her.

The two men took them into a van. (I know this is a kingdom but this is also where magic happens.) Plagg stayed close to Marinette while the girl looked for a way to get help. With no success, Marinette sat down. Plagg laid on her lap to comfort her.
