It's been six months since we got to our new settlement. Buildings have been cleared, cleaned, and restored. The buildings have been selected for what they will be, and jobs have been given out to everyone. New reinforced walls were being put up, and scouting teams were already checking the surrounding area. As for me. I wore my typical black clothing with Emily's old respirator. I was out in what most people in this area called the scorch. I was in an old abandoned hotel with Death. We looked for weapons to add to the stockpile. People filed into the new settlement adding one hundred more people since we got here. We were arming everyone with at least a blunt object. I sat loading my rifle as I heard a noise from downstairs.......
