Ruts: A rut is basically an alpha's equivalent to an omega's heat, except they don't go through them every month! Alphas will go into rut when the omega they're bonded to goes into heat, so alphas who are bonded to betas and other alphas won't go into rut. Their rut will last as long as their mate's heat. Alphas have been known to go into rut at every one of their heats. This often leads to time off of work for the 4-7 days of heat/rut, plus an extra day for returning back to normal hormone levels. Rut can be suppressed, just as heat can, though most doctors suggest not doing so.
Knot: Alphas are generally dominant and able to impregnate Omegas. Male Alphas usually have a knot when aroused. ...
