   Vanessa was in the hospital for a few days before they let her out. Her arm was healing well. Mingi was driving her back home. She was quiet the whole ride. She had not really talked to anyone since it all happened. She told Mingi what happened, but no one else. The doctor thought she had just cut herself on a broken window and tried to cut off the circulation with her own hand so she wouldn't bleed out. When Mingi pulled into the driveway and parked the car, he looked over at Vanessa. "Ace? You okay?" he asked, putting a hand on her shoulder. She snaps out of the thoughts running through her head and looks at him. She nods her head and steps out the car. Walking into the house, her arm started to burn under her cut. She ran her finger over it and winced in pain. When she looked up, she saw a child standing in front of her, seemingly made of a puffy white smoke. Her eyes widen and she takes a step back. "You can see me? Good, it worked. Please don't scream! My name is Minhyuk. I was killed in this house last year with my mommy." the figure explains. "I'm sorry I made you get cut, but I really liked you and wanted you to see me. I hope you can forgive me for what I did. I placed a tiny fraction of my soul into you. We're connected now. Not connected like, if you get hurt I get hurt. Connected like a bond. You're the only one that can see me." he said. Vanessa couldn't believe her eyes. He was a ghost, and she could see him. Though she didn't feel threatened by him. "It's nice to meet you, Minhyuk. My name is Vanessa." she said. Mingi walked into the room. "Ace? Who are you talking to? It there someone here?" he asked. He hasn't heard her voice in days. "I.. No. There's no one here. I'm just talking to myself." she said. "Then who is Minhyuk?" Mingi asked. "No one, Domino." Vanessa hugs Mingi. "I'm going to go get a shower." she said. Mingi nods and Vanessa walks off. When she enters her room, Minhyuk is sitting on her bed playing with his hands. He looks up at her and smiles "Hey." he squeaks happily. Vanessa couldn't help but smile. "Hey there kid." she said sitting beside him. "Is there any way you can make other people see you? Like Mingi?" she asked. "Yes, the same way I did for you." he said. "I trust him, and I think he's the other one." Minhyuk said. Vanessa looks at him but then goes to take her shower. She stands under the water for a few minutes until Mingi knocks on the door. "You okay Ace?" he asked. "I'm fine, I'm finishing up now." she said and turned the water off. She dried herself off and put on some shorts and a long shirt, walking out the restroom. She puts her dirty clothes in the laundry room. She bumps into Mingi and looks up at him. He's looking down at her. "I'm sorry." she said. He pulls her into a hug, holding her next to him for a few minutes. "Mingi, can you trust me to do something?" she said, looking up at him. "Of course, anything for you Ace." he said. Vanessa took a deep breath and grabbed a knife. She pressed it to his fingertip and made a small cut. She saw Minhyuk put a fraction of his soul into Mingi then  stand next to her. When Mingi looked back up at Vanessa from his hunger, he saw Minhyuk and let out a scream. "Vanessa get away from there, there's a ghost!" he said grabbing her arm and pulling her to him. "No wait Mingi please hear me out! His name is Minhyuk, he means no harm. He and his mom were killed here last year." Vanessa said. Mingi calms down a little, but does not let her go. He looks at Minhyuk. "So what do you want from us?" he asked. Minhyuk looked down. "I just want to feel loved again. I've been so lonely." he said. Mingi's expression softens at that. "Oh.. I'm sorry. It just surprised me to see a ghost." he explains. Minhyuk just nods his head. "I was scared but excited to know someone was moving in again. The last person that lived here was the one that killed me and my mommy." he said. Tears swelled in his eyes. Vanessa breaks free of Mingi's grip and walks over to Minhyuk. She kneels down to his level and wiped his tears away. "Hey, it's okay. You have us now." she comforts. Minhyuk hugs her neck.
