Don and Phil always had fights on who was the favorite child.

"Uh, Mommy?" Phil asked one day.

"Yes Phil?" Margaret answered.

"You and Daddy do love me more than Donnie, right?"

"Now Phil, that's not true!" Ike said.

"Ha! It's ovbious. I knew it Daddy. You and Mommy favor DONNIE over your baby boy. And he's not even home right now..."

"Phil, corner. Now!"

"Mommy, I'm 13!"

"Phil, go."

"Sheesh"

"Ten minutes." Margaret decided to drag Phil to the corner of the room herself since Phil wouldn't budge. "Stay here for ten minutes."

"Mother, Daddy, I'm home!" Don yelled.

"Maybe I spoke too soon..." Phil mumbled.

"Hi, Donnie!" Margaret said coming from the corner where she had dragged Phil.

"MOMMY!"

"There's my first born." Ike said.

"DADDY!!" Don yelled running into his dad's arms. "Let me guess Daddy. You and Mommy love me more than Philip."

"ISAAC DONALD EVERLY!"

"Uh oh."

"Haha, you got yelled at!"

"Be quiet, Phillip or your punishment will turn into grounding."

"You wanna make something out of it, Donnie?"

"Well, maybe I do!"

"How bout I share your deepest secret?"

"How bout I make a pancake out of you, Phil?" Don backed up, ran towards Phil, and before their parents knew it, their boys were wrestling each other.

"Don, get off your brother!"

"Phil, stop punching Don!"

Ike pulled Don off of Phil.

"Boys," Margaret began, "Daddy and I love you both equally. Me and Daddy do not have favorites. Is that clear?"

"Yes, mommy," Don and Phil said, sounding like robots.

"Boys," Ike said, "your mother is right. We don't have favorites. We love you both equally. Understood?"

"Yes, daddy," Don and Phil said, sounding less like zombies.

"Good. Now boys, hug it out." Don pulled Phil into the biggest, tightest hug ever and they never had a fight over who was the favorite child again.
