"hey guys," alejandro yelled, walking up to his friends.

kairi, mattia, alejandro, robert, roshaun, and alvaro always met by kairi's locker in the mornings, just basic chitchat.

"..AND THEN SHE FELL DOWN THE ST-A-AIRSSss!!" kairi finished. he had just gotten done telling the story of how his little sister fell down the steps this morning, she wasnt hurt but a little bruise, so it was okay for him to joke about, right?

mattia stared lovingly at kairi, the shorters laugh made his brain all fuzzy- ah shit, here comes the flowers.
mattia ran to the bathroom, locking a stall behind him, hacking up as hard as he could. the stinging and burning was tretorous, mattia sometimes wished he would die rather than having to deal with flowers in his lungs. mattia felt something heavier in his hand, rather than a petal, it was a huge bud.

"holy shit..no no no no.-"

"mattia? hey what's wrong you okay?" it was kairi. of course.

mattia coughed again, "yeah kai i'm" another cough," i'm fine."

"mattia unlock the door we can talk..i- i know." kairi softly spoke.

"what!?" mattia swiftly unlocked the stall, forgetting about the sunflower bud in his hand.

"I dont know, I was bluffing... heyyy what's that?" kairi poked his head to the side to try and see.

"it's nothing important-"

"bullshit let me see!" kairi joked.

"kai I said no!!" mattia yelled, raising his voice in each word.

"fine.." kairi stared at mattia, startled for a minute before he left the bathroom and slammed the door.

mattia looked in front of the mirror, pissed at himself. he shouldn't have yelled at his best friend, more or less the boy he's madly inlove with.
