~hooked~

Prologue

"Mac! Holy shit how did you get these tickets?"

" My uncle knows this guy who's a security guard for the venue, he gave my uncle the tickets that never sold." I tell Elle barely being able to contain my excitement.

"This is absolutely insane! I wasn't going to cry, but I think I will now." She laughs.

"Elle, no matter where my ass is in this stadium, I'm gonna bawl." she laughed again knowing all too well my love for these boys. 

It was 7 pm and me and my best friend, Elle, were seated waiting for my favorite boy band to come out and sing. I was so excited, this was my first time seeing them in concert and I really didn't know how I was going to react to seeing my boys right in front of my face. As Elle and I were in mid-conversation, the lights dimmed and the words 8 letters appeared on the big screen. As the screams began to grow in the room, five figures appeared on stage and me along with Elle lost our minds. All of a sudden the room fell into darkness as we heard,

"Hellooo Torontooo! We are so excited to be here tonight! How are you guys!" The whole venue screamed as loud as they could.

"Good, because we are Why Don't We and you guys got us hooked!" Daniel says as the lights come back on and the intro to Hooked starts playing. The whole crowd screamed even louder than before and I lost my shit. I was jumping up and down with Elle, as we screamed out every single word to the song.

As Daniel sang the end of the chorus, he was standing right in front of me and I could've sworn for a brief moment when he sang the words "damn, I'm hooked," our eyes locked. I stood there in shock as he walked away and Elle nudged me mouthing an "oh.my.god." I looked at her with a look as if I'm about to pass out or cry, at this point I'm sure both could happen at the same time.

The show continued on and I found Daniel slowly drifting towards my direction of the stage more often than normal. But honestly, I was having the time of my life so I just kept jumping up and down along with hundreds of other fangirls.

After the concert

The concert had just ended and as ecstatic as we were, our energy was drained and we just wanted to go home and sleep. As we exited the arena, we saw a huge mass of girls crowding an area near the back. Curious, Elle and I gave each other a look and walked in the direction of the group. As more girls started to run over, Elle turned to a group beside us and asked what was going on.

"We are waiting for the boys to come out." says the girl in excitement. But before we had a chance to get excited the security guards came out and started to kick people out of the area. We decided to take a walk around the venue to kill time before our train arrived and when we had finally decided to leave, we came up to where the girl and her friends were that we had talked to earlier standing and waiting. We decided to stay and chat with them and before we knew it or could say anything else, the door to our left swung open and out walked Why Don't We. 3 of the boys went to one side and Jonah and Daniel came to our side. I didn't know how to react but I was surprisingly calm. As Jonah made his way down the line of fans, Daniel came up to me and gave me a tight hug. What felt like a lifetime but was only a few seconds, he finally pulled away and stared into my eyes one last time.

I had begun to feel sad as I realized this might be the only time I would get to stare in his eyes.
