A/N ~*Awe! Look at River! He's so cute! ;-; *~

~Artimeys POV~

I hated booze, alcohol of any and every kind. I thought this and remembered it when I went to the- counter that descriptively held a sign saying “Medication” on it. The man at the counter was smelly, breath of alcohol, and it made me nauseous. But I took my pills from the man and swallowed them with the tiny cup of water he gave me. I could eat now. Finally.

I went to this little line of five people, every other person at the various tables in the cafeteria building. I was behind a guy with black hair and wearing a black tank top and cargo shorts. He turned around and glared up at me. I was a relatively tall guy, so most people had to look up at me. I was a little taller than six three, which made me stand out, but hey, whatever.

His eyes lightened then he hissed under his breath, “The only food here that doesn't taste orgasmic is the meat loaf and black bean stew. They taste like absolute shit!”

He laughed and turned back around. I was confused, didn't really like the atmosphere around him. I grabbed a tray and went through the line, telling the woman what I wanted when they asked. It made me grin when I got to the end and they had chocolate cake and cookies, and soda. I ended up with two chicken burgers, a double serving of fries, an apple, a piece of cake and two cookies. I eat like a pig and I have no shame in it!

This place wasn't yellow, but lettuce leaf green with paintings of fruit and stuff. Not really that appealing to the eye, but better than baby puke yellow and orange. Before starting on my second chicken burger, I realized that the only person here I knew was missing from the crowded cafeteria. River. Where was he?

My thoughts were interrupted once more by the cocky guy in the tank top and cargo shorts. He sat across from me, along with a medium height guy in a green shirt with curly red fair on his left; a guy a little taller than the red-head wearing a white tank top and cargo shorts on his right. Well, this wasn't awkward or strange at all!

Cocky guy grinned, “I'm Eren. This is Jules,” he gestured to his look alike on the right, “And this is Mark.” He gestured to the red-head.

I nodded then went back to my food. But once again, I was interrupted half way through my second burger and down to my last fries. “It's polite to say you're own name when someone introduces themselves, newbie.” Coc- Eren- growled.

“Uh-huh. And I thought it was polite not to completely ruin someone's first meal in over two weeks.” That pissed him off. But I stood up and walked to a little table in the corned, not giving him the chance to say anything back. I ate the rest of my delicious food in silence.

I didn't like cocky people, especially guys like him and his little followers. I wasn't antisocial, just picky on who I was friends or even acquainted with. Who knows how I was going to get through this place for as long as I was staying, which I didn't even know how long, if not even my roommate would talk to me? I sighed, running my hands through my hair before getting up and putting my tray where the sign said.

I wasn't exactly sure what the deals here were. Didn't know what I was supposed to do after breakfast, so I decided I'd go back to my room and wait until something seemed to happen. The walk from the cafeteria which was on the other side of the building besides Blue Block, was nice. It was December, so the air was cool, it was in the high fifties most likely. No snow, not yet anyways. It always snowed during the winters, so I was expecting it to soon. I wonder if River likes the snow, I thought to myself.

Why was I so fricking caught up with this guy? All I knew was his name! I ran my shaking, frustrated hands through my hair like always, this was a disaster. I just, why? Why did I want so desperately to be close to him and know who he was inside that head of his? I though this the entire time I walked back, the greatness of the weather gone from my mind.
