"Wha? Huh? Morning already?"

I turned off the alarm brought me back from dreamland. I stretched and yawned, rubbing my eyes because I'm still sleepy as heck. But I know I need to wake up now, who knows I might have a morning match.

I tidy up my bed, went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. After washed my face with the eye-opening cold water, I changed into my usual attire. I reached for the comb. For some reason I looked at the comb for a little while before I started brushing my hair.

After I brushed my hair, I went out of my room to head downstairs to have breakfast. That's when I saw someone down the hallway. They're walking slow, I bet they're still sleepy too. I squinted my eyes to see who it is. Green hoodie..... Oh! That's Naib!

I ran up to him, since I already saw him might as well walk with him downstairs right?

"Naib!" I called out to him.

He turned around. He gave me a cold annoyed look, I wonder what happened. He turned his head back. I went up closer to him.

"Morning Naib!" I greeted him.

But he didn't respond.

"I wonder what's today breakfast going to be!" I continued the converstation.

"Pancakes? Eggs and bacon? Waffles? Toast? Or maybe muffins?? They all sounds so good!" I slightly drooled thinking of the possible menu of the breakfast. Thinking of the warm fluffy food entering my mouth is enough to make me fully awake.

Naib is still quiet. I know he didn't talk often, but I didn't know he's this quiet.

"I wonder if there's any morning match today. If there is, I wonder who's gonna play. I wonder who's the hunter too. Oh! Oh! And the map! I heard there's a new map ri--

"Shut up you runt, Your squeaky voice is making my ears bleed" Naib slightly yelled at me.

I was shocked. did I made him mad or something?

"I-I'm sorry...." I apologized.

"Now you understand, stay away from me you runt"

"I'm not a runt! I have a name! It's
(y/n)!" I tried to defend myself.

"Yeah yeah whatever, just stay at a 5 meter radius away from me" He sighs and just continued walking.

I puffed my cheeks. Now that I think about it, I didn't do anything wrong! And he called me runt twice. I know compared to other 10 y.o I am pretty short, but he doesn't have to insult me like that.

I'm just gonna brush it off. Emily taught me not to get mad over small things after all. I continued walking to the dining room downstairs, keeping my distance from Naib like he asked me to.

When we arrived at the dining room, there's already a couple of people there. Breakfast is not ready yet, maybe because it is still so early.

"Morning (y/n)! Morning Naib!" Lucky greeted us from the kitchen. Inside the kitchen there's Victor too, he waved at us.
