Stay - Astrid

Allie is a hybrid human and dragon, she's new in the archipelago, just after escaping hunters after years of imprisonment. Also sorry for typos.

A nightgripper hybrid dragon zipped across the sky, she was injured, and tired. She could barely bring herself to flap as she began to descend. Things weren't going well. Her eyelids were slowly falling shut and she herself was starting to fall.

Her body gave out and she plummeted towards the shores, within sight of an island. She hit the water surface and was greeted with the cold flush of liquid, preventing her from inhaling but she did it anyways, taking water into her lungs, resulting in the drowning process to quicken.

The life in her soul was beginning to fade and her body started to stop struggling against the water depth swallowing her. The last thing she saw and heard as her eyes shut was someone diving into the water.

A solid few days pass by, and she slowly woke up, greeted with the sight of tame, green eyes. She jumped and belted backwards as she saw a nightfury. The quick stand up after dying resulting in a major rush of blood to the head which made her dizzy and fall to the ground again. Toothless rushed to her aid.

"Wow-Hiccup! Hiccup! She's awake!" Fishlegs woke up after hearing the thud of her falling to the ground. Hiccup woke up and sat up, a bright smile coming across his face as he jumped to his feet.

The nightgripped roared defensively at the humans crowding around her, she jumped up onto the chains of the ceiling in the arena and clung to them for dear life.

"Wow!" A voice called. The dragon looked up, and saw a blonde girl, hanging off the surface of the earth, since she was upside down. She turned her head around and tilted it curiously to her, she stayed out at how the dragon was staring at her and glanced at Hiccup who had no idea what was happening.

The nightgripper jumped down from the chains and circled Astrid once, taking a small liking to her. Astrid smiled softly as she looked at the dragon. "What's she doing?" She asked Hiccup.

"I have...wow." Hiccup gasped as he watched the nightgripper change it's form, into a human. "That's...impossible!"

Shifting into brighter skin made her bruises and multiple cuts more visible, and with a smaller and more fragile bones in comparison to her dragon form, things were more painful now. She fell her her knees which cracked after coming in harsh contact with the stone ground, and she fell unconscious once again.

Astrid has cared for the hybrid shifter alongside Hiccup and Fishlegs. She was in critical condition. And Gothi was off Berk in search for some cure to a flu.

The blonde had fallen asleep one night by the shifter's side and she awoke slowly, but she was feeling a good bit better surprisingly.

When Astrid woke up, she was shocked to find the bed she slept next to empty. She jumped up and ran out of the hut.

A small search began, Astrid and Stormfly managed to escape from Snotlout and Hookfang who were following her around.

She flew up to the mountains and landed Stormfly with a trot. Dismounting the deadly nadder and hitting the snow, Astrid looked around, curiously. She heard subtle hints that she and her dragon weren't alone up there. "Hello?" She called gently, holding her axe just in case.

"Who are you?" A voice called, Astrid spun to face the direction of the voice but it seemed like it echoed the very air she breathed.

"Where are you?" Astrid called out, frantically spinning to try and see the hybrid.
