With her hands clutched into a fist, Blair O'Connor entered her high school cafeteria in a rage. It wasn't her lunch period, but quite frankly, she didn't care. Scanning the room for the girl she wanted to see, she walked passed the teachers who were on lunch duty.

They didn't look up until Blair was at the table. Unfortunately for Clarice, it was too late.

"Clarice." Blair called, standing over the table where the blonde girl sat.

Clarice turned around, beady blue eyes looking Blair up and down.

"Can I help you?" She answered, almost in disgust as if Blair was something to be repulsed by.

Clarice and Blair had been best friends since they were kids, well up until Clarice decided she was too popular to hang out with someone like Blair. It still hurt that they were no longer friends, but that hurt was a finger prick compared to the pain that ached in Blair constantly.

"I'd rather not talk in front of everyone." Blair replied, side eyeing Clarice's posse who sat around the table.

"What you have to say can be said in front of them." Clarice stood up, "It's probably not of much importance anyways."

Giggles and snickers were heard around the circular lunch table.

Heat flared in Blair's finger tips, a familiar feeling she knew all too well. She pushed her anger away and looked Clarice in the eyes.

"What is this, Clarice?" Blair held up her phone screen. Displayed was a screenshot of a snap chat memory Clarice had posted the day before.

It was an article from when Blair's father died.

The headline read, "Riverway Police Chief Commits Suicide."

In small words across the picture, Clarice had wrote "Doesn't this run in the family or something?" Laughing emojis echoing the smirk that she wore now.

"It was a joke, Blair. Get over it," she said, turning her back. The heat had reached Blair's shoulders now. She could feel her anger boiling in the pit of her stomach.

Blair grasped Clarice's elbow, turning her around so they were face to face.

"I can't believe you can really say that to me." Blair could barely let out a whisper, "You lost your dad too, don't you understand that I can't just let it go."

"My father died in the line of service, yours killed himself. That's hardly something to compare." Clarice spit the words out in Blair's face like they were venom.

The fiery feeling had reached Blair's face now. Every ounce of her was consumed in an uncontrollable anger. Her fist clenched and un-clenched, her ears roaring in the silence of the cafeteria. All eyes were now on the two girls. The teachers stood up from where they were eating their lunch, expecting the worst since the situation regarded Blair.

Before she realized it, Blair felt her knuckles crack as her fist connected with Clarice's face. Grabbing a fistful of hair and slamming it into a nearby locker, her vision was red with anger. A slap cracked across her face, causing her to bite into her bottom lip. The taste of blood and cherry chap-stick entering her mouth.

Now she was pissed.

Keeping her grip in the girl's hair, she delivered punch after punch. And while Clarice could fight, she was no match for Blair. Bodies bumped into her as a crowd had gathered around them to record the third fight that year at Riverway High School.

The third fight involving Blair.

Voices blurred together and all she could hear was the familiar ring in her ears that she got every time she fought. As she kicked back her leg, preparing to knee the girl in her stomach, strong arms wrapped around her and pulled her back. Mr. Harper, Riverway High School's Principal and the only person who could calm Blair down, had her locked in a strait jacket grip, not allowing her to escape and get back to the girl. Blair didn't resist, allowing him to drag her into the closest classroom and shut the door.
