Carer Chiaki & Regressor Mikan

Bright light hit Chiaki's eyes, and she fluttered awake. Rubbing her sleepy eyes and yawning, she immediately reached to her night stand to grab her phone. As the bright screen hit her face, she heard a small voice next to her. 

"That's bad for your eyes, Mama!" The little dark haired girl squeaked. Giggling, Chiaki reached out to pet her head. 

"Goodmorning, sunshine. What are you doing up so early?" 

Mikan giggled. She simply snuggled closer to Chiaki in response.

Chiaki hugged the girl in her arms, warming her with her embrace. After holding her until she was sure she was content, Chiaki asked,

"Well, what would you like for breakfast little one?"

Mikan giggled excitedly.

"Blueberry pancakes! Blueberry pancakes!"

"Blueberry pancakes it is."

Blueberry pancakes were becoming a running theme in their cozy (and very pink) apartment. Chiaki wants something quick, but filling, and Mikan wants something cute and sweet (and it's the only way she can get fruit into her mama's diet...) and pancakes are usually the way to go. Chiaki poured out the instant mix batter onto the hot griddle after much help (and crying over spilt milk- literally) from Mikan. 

"Okay, kiddo! Your favorite part: time to add the blueberries!" 

The little one hopped in place excitedly, and carefully added a small handful of blueberries onto a pancake. Slowly, she added the blueberries onto each one, trying her best to make them perfect.

"Good job!" Chiaki smiled, and patted Mikan's head. "Now we flip them."

Chiaki flipped each pancake, until finally she reached the last one-

"Ow!" She exclaimed, sucking in her breath quickly, leaving the last pancake idly on the griddle.

Mikan gasped, "What happened Mommy ?!"

She hissed at the pain, before sticking her finger in her mouth.

"I just burned my finger on the griddle, it's nothing, really!" Chiaki turned off the griddle, then headed to their bathroom to get a bandaid.

"Oh! Let me do it Mommy! I'm a very good nurse, you know!" Mikan dashed into the bathroom with a new found confidence. She rummaged through the medicine cabinet, then set the jar of vaseline and a roll of white bandages onto the sink, and began to tend to Chiaki's small burn.

Chiaki giggled, "You're so cute little one. You really are a good nurse!" And pinched Mikan's cheek.

Mikan blushed but continued to work.

After she had wrapped Chiaki's fingertip in the bandage, she placed a small kiss on it, to "make it feel all better!"

Chiaki smiled brightly at her little one.

"Thank you for being a very brave nurse today, baby!"

She ruffled Mikan's silky hair, and placed a kiss on her cheek.

"Now, let's go eat those yummy pancakes, yeah?"
