Chapter 13 part 1

Jennie's POV

It's been a month since Taeryung and I broke up. I have heard about Lisa's kidnapping incident. And thank god she's safe. And I have also heard about how Lisa being savage to that crazy psycho.. She's really cool. I can see why the twins fell in love with her. She's very beautiful inside and out.

Grandpa: Jennie.
Jennie: Yes, grandpa?
Grandpa: How are you doing my dear?
Jennie: I've been through shit but I'm a tough and strong independent woman.
Grandpa: *laughs* Indeed my child. Are you going to take the offer my business partner arranged for you?
Jennie: Well, its good for our business grandpa. I think it's a great chance for me to calm my mind and my broken heart.
Grandpa: I'm going to miss you my child. *hugs*
Jennie: Me too grandpa. *hugs* Are you going to be fine? I'm going to be away for two years. I can't take care of you anymore.
Grandpa: Nonsense. I can still take care of myself. And we have staffs here to guide and help me. You take care of yourself there. I will miss you so much my child.
Jennie: You mean girls to have fun with you?
Grandpa: You know me well.  So when are you going to leave?
Jennie: This saturday.
Grandpa: That fast? Only three days then you're gone for good now.
Jennie: I have to go Grandpa. I have some important things to do in the office.
Grandpa: All right.

I felt bad leaving Grandpa all alone for two years. But it's for the best for my company. I have to study and learn how to expand and make my company boom for the future.

Office

Chaeyoung: You're leaving!?
Jennie: Yes for 2 years.
Chaeyoung: When are you leaving?
Jennie: This saturday.
Chaeyoung: What!? That fast? I'm going to miss you so bad..
Jennie: I will miss you too Chaeng. I have a favor to ask you.
Chaeyoung: What is it?
Jennie: Can you come and visit my grandpa often? He said he's going to be fine. But I'm not convinced. I want you to look after him.
Chaeyoung: Not a problem babe.
Jennie: Thank you.
Chaeyoung: Wait a minute. Have you told the twins that you're leaving?
Jennie: No. And why would I?

Do I have to tell them? I don't think so. It's better not to tell them.

Chaeyoung: Why? I thought you were friends. They are still part of your life once.
Jennie: Don't start. And don't tell them that I'm going away.
Chaeyoung: Well okay. Wait. If you're going away, then who'se going to manage the company?
Jennie: Ask yourself.
Chaeyoung: Why me? I don't know who it is.
Jennie: Oh Chaeng. You're so dense.
Chaeyoung: What do you mean?
Jennie: *raises eyebrows*
Chaeyoung: You mean me? But I'm just a mere assistant. How can I manage and take such a big position? It's not like I don't want it but I'm freaking out.
Jennie: Chaeyoung, calm down. And why not? You've been with me from the start. You know everything and you're the smartest and wise woman I've ever met. And I even think you can run the company more than I ever do. You need to be confident and be beautiful.
Chaeyoung: But what if I fail? What if I make mistakes?
Jennie: Don't worry. My grandpa's secretary will help and guide you. It's only for two years. And I'm not going on a trip and to have fun there. I'm going there for work. I have to study and learn more about business. On how to expand and make our company  to get known overseas.
Chaeyoung: Okay. I can do it. But please come back soon. Mr. Min is such a terror man.
Jennie: Oh Chaeng.

Chaeyoung really dislikes Mr. Min. But he's not that bad. He's been with Grandpa since forever. A loyal person to my grandpa. He's more likely treat me like a younger sister.

Chaeyoung: Even though he looks scary but he's so hot.
Jennie: I'm going to tell Jimin about this.
Chaeyoung: Nooo... Chimchim is more sexy and adorable. And have you seen amazing abs? I'm drooling girl...
Jennie: Ewww.. I get it.. and stop that..
Chaeyoung: *laughs* How about we go shopping together?
Jennie: Why? Are you going a date with Jimin?
Chaeyoung: You got it.
Momo: *knocks* Ms. Kim?
Jennie: Come in Momo.
Momo: *bows* Ms. Kim, The board of directors are here.
Jennie: Thanks Momo. We'll be there.
Momo: Okay Maam. *bows then leaves*
Chaeyoung: Are you ready?
Jennie: Yes. Let's go shopping after work.
Chaeyoung: Okay.

Meeting room

Jennie: Everyone, morning to all of you.
BOD: Morning.
Jennie: So any questions to ask me?
Guy: Ms. Kim, Is it true that you are going overseas?
Jennie: Yes for 2 years.
Girl: Are you going on a vacation?
Jennie: No. Mr. Baek has offered me a very good oppotunity. It's for the good of our company. I'm going to study and learn about business how to handle a better company.
BOD: *nods in agreement* Then who will handle the company for 2 years?
Jennie: *smiles* Park Chaeyoung.
BOD: *shook* *whispering*
Chaeyoung: *pretends to be shook*
Guy: Are you sure? You think she can handle such a big position?
Jennie: She handles everything from the start. She helped and guided me about everything. And don't worry, Mr. Min and Grandpa will be there for her.
BOD: *nods* Indeed. She's the best fit for that position next to you.
Jennie: Very well agreed. What do you say Chaeng?
Chaeyoung: I will do my very best to run a huge company. I hope everyone will teach me about handling a huge company... And please come back soon. I don't want to die young cause of Mr. Min.
BOD: *laughs* Mr. Min is sure a scary man. But he's a super genius.
Jennie: Agreed. Everyone, Take care of Chaeyoung and the company while I'm gone.
BOD: We will not let you down.
Jennie: Okay. Let's back to our meeting.

Taeryung's POV

*Yawns* What? It's morning already? I need something to eat. I'm starving. What's that smell? I got out of my room and went towards the kitchen. Huh? Who's that?

Sydney: Morning babe. I cooked you breakfast. Let's eat.
Taeryung: You made these?
Sydney: No silly. I called your maids to cook for us. I took your card and told the servant to grocery.
Taeryung: Uhm... You took my card?
Sydney: Yes, aren't I brilliant? You have only milk, eggs, a loaf of bread.. So I told them to grocery and stock your fridge.
Taeryung: Uhm...
Sydney: Hmm?

Who the hell think she is? You're not my girlfriend. Even Jennie doesn't do that. I'm going insane.

Taeryung: Look Linda.
Sydney: It's Sydney...
Taeryung: Yeah sure Cindy. Just who are you to order my servants around? And you even took my card without my permission? Like who does that?
Sydney: It's Sydney... So I can't? They should be grateful towards me. If not, you'll get starved to death by now. And there will be some changes here from now on.
Taeryung: Nope. Not a chance Simba. Look, What happened between us was so over yesterday. It's just a one night stand. Don't act like you're my girlfriend or something. And get the fuck outta here.
Sydney: You know what? You're fucking rude. And it's Sydney dumbass! *storms out*
Taeryung: Great.
