Chapter 1
Iven sprinted to her next class, Chemistry, where she's about to be late. She'd been absent for a week now and she didn't want to miss this one. But on her way, the glass window beside her and somebody jumped in. It took her by surprise, her lips agape wondering how the hell someone could have jumped all the way up the fifth floor of the science building. That's when she noticed a pair of black wings attached to the back of the guy.
The guy looked at her with crystal white eyes. She was alone and she wanted to run but was held on the floor off guarded y what she was seeing.
The guy too was startled. He haven't seen a human in years and it gave him such sombre to remember how he always wanted to be like one of them. He stared at Iven for minutes, admiring her deep inside his dead heart. He was captured by her face. Iven isn't small nor tall. And she certainly don't have those curvaceous body. Just almost about five feet and four inches wasn't that of a great height for quite a skinny girl like Iven.
But he was sure it wasn't lust. Angles weren't suppose to feel anything bad especially lust. It was something more define than that of a simple admiration that carved unto his lifeless heart. No. The Angel denied the feeling. That girl was the first he saw for the last hundred years. Maybe he'd feel the same towards the others. After all, that was what he was made to be. To adore the beautiful daughters of men that God created and to respect and love them as they love God Himself.
Of all the time, he suddenly felt a pang when he heard the thick liquid rush recklessly inside the major artery in Iven's throat. Then everything went blurry and black.
…
Iven felt something pulled her out of the bizarre scene. Everything went back to normal. She hadn’t realize earlier that when she was running on the corridor there were no students and that the building felt empty. That was weird, she thought. Maybe this is because I haven’t eaten my breakfast yet.
She continued walking briskly to her next class. She sure doesn’t want to miss the bell else she’ll fail to catch up with the lessons.
Iven flunked on her seat just in time the bell rang.
“How’s Math?” asked Regin. Regin is her best friend since preschool. Iven couldn’t even recall a moment that she hadn’t been with Reg.
“Well, as usual. The teacher didn’t forgot about the numbers. You know I hate numbers.” Iven gave a short sigh. “If my car hadn’t broke in the middle of my daily rush-to-school routine I wouldn’t have been late in that test. And I could have been early in this class.”
“Pretty tough, huh.”
“Yeah. I don’t know why it doesn’t make sense compared to Science.” Iven looked pass Regin and noticed a quite familiar figure. Black. Smooth and lustful aura.
“Hey. Where did you get this thing?” Regin took a piece of black feather stuck on Iven’s curls. “Did you drove on a poultry and broke your car in there?”
“Uhm, uh yeah.” Iven looked at Regin then back to the seat near the window. The figure was gone. “I think… so.”
“Think so? What was that? You were hallucinating again Iven.”
“Do you by any chance believe in angels?” Iven said. “I think I just saw one,”
“Woah. Did you get enough sleep last night girl?”
