"Everything she never had, she's showing off."
-------
When I woke up the next morning Harry's arm was draped around my waist. It would've been fine and all, but I really needed to go to the bathroom. I struggled to get his arm off of me. He groaned and tightened his grip around me and I sighed."Harry." I whispered and brushed some hair off of his forehead. "Hm?" He said sleepily. "Can you please let go of me?" I asked him softly. "No." He said and wrapped his other arm around me. "Harry." I whined and tried to shove his arms off.
"Harry, take your arms off of me or I will urinate on your bed." I warned and he burst out laughing. "Okay, okay." He laughed and took his arms off of me. "Thank you." I sighed of relief and stepped off onto the carpeted floor.
Harry continued to laugh as I ran quickly to the bathroom. "I hate you!" I yelled at him through the closed door. After I was finished, I went back out into the bedroom and collapsed onto the bed. "What's on the agenda today?" I asked Harry as I rested my head on his chest.
"I have to go into town for a bit. You can do what you want today, but tonight we have a dinner in the dining room." He informed me. "Don't we always have a dinner in the dining room?" I questioned with a laugh.
"No. A dinner to celebrate." He said and grabbed my left hand, running his finger over the ring. "An engagement party?" I questioned and he shrugged. " I guess you could call it that, but not that many people." He told me.
"Zayn?" I questioned and he sighed. "Sadly." He whispered. "I thought you and Zayn were best friends. What changed?" I asked him. He tensed at my question which confused me even more. "The situation changed." He spoke.
"What situation?" I was beyond confused. "Just drop it, Crystal." He said angrily. I rolled my eyes and got up off of the bed. "Where are you going?" He asked and I sighed. "None of your business." I snapped and he got up off of the bed.
"Don't walk away from me." He said as he followed me out of the room. "I don't want to speak to you." I told him. I was sick of him getting so angry so easily. "You don't always get what you want." He said as he continued to follow me down the hall.
I hit the button on the elevator and waited for it to arrive. "You treat me like a piece of property!" I yelled and he stepped closer to me. "Because you're mine! You're my property!" I winced at his words. By this time I wasn't paying attention to anything except the look on Harry's face.
Not an ounce of regret for what he just said. "If that's all I mean to you, I'd rather be dead." I spat and turned towards the elevator. My eyes slightly widened in surprise when Zayn was standing in the elevator with his eyes wide.
"Is this a bad time?" He asked and I shook my head, fighting back tears. I didn't respond, I shook my head and turned towards the stairs. I passed Gemma on the way and she had a smug look on her face. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before continuing down the stairs.
"Crystal, wait!" Harry called, but I just kept running. He could be such a jerk. I didn't know where to go, but I didn't stop until I reached the bottom floor. I walked outside and kept going until I was near the palace gates.
Maybe I was overreacting. I've had a very long few weeks. I didn't know when I was going to see my family again. It was all just taking a toll on me. It was a matter of time before I snapped. I guess this just put me over the edge.
I twisted a few pieces of grass in my hand until they were pulled out of the ground. I sighed and looked up at the sky. The sun was shining brightly and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. I wish I was in a better mood.
I sighed and leaned my head against the gate behind me. This is what my life has come to. A few months ago I was helping mom and Greg around the house. Now, I'm trapped in one place and I'm engaged. How did it all happen?
"I've been looking all over for you." I looked up expecting to see Harry, but it was Zayn. "You found me." I said with a weak smile. "What happened?" He asked and sat down next to me. "He's a jerk." I said while shaking my head.
"Well, I could've told you that one." He laughed. I nodded my head and twisted the ring around my finger. "Are you happy?" He asked me, while looking at the ring. "I don't know anymore. I feel like I don't have a choice." I admitted.
"What do you mean?" He asked me. "I mean... Harry owns me. If I were to say no to all of this where would I be? Would he put me back for sale? Or would he move me down to the lower class area? I'm just scared." I told him honestly.
"Harry cares about you. He wouldn't do anything like that. If this isn't what you want I think he'd respect that." He said and looked down at the ground. "But I don't know what I want." I sighed. Zayn stayed quiet and I was left with my thoughts.
"I need a change." I said. "Let's go somewhere." Zayn said and stood up. "Where?" I asked, looking up at him. "In town." He said and put his hand out for me to take. "Harry would kill me if I left." I said and he shrugged.
"Forget about it for a day. What do you have to lose?" He asked and I shrugged. "Okay." I said and took his hand. He helped me up and I smiled. "Let's go." He said and lead us back to the palace. "We'll take my car.
