the figure stood there in silence. no movement. no breathing. no sound.

it felt like hours.

eventually, he mouthed the words,

"stand in the middle"

I didn't know what to do. I just stood there. too scared. too worried.
this time, he loudly commanded,

"I told you to stand in the middle, rascal."

I made my way to the middle of the small, empty room; trembling with worry. my stomach tightened as I realised how hunger growled at my stomach.
I haven't had any cereal for the past few weeks and I felt how I've felt less energetic and happy. I really wanted cereal and I would do anything to get it.

"I want cereal"

"pathetic"

"PATHETIC? DO YOU HEAR YOURSELF?"

I haven't heard myself scream that loud in a while. I guess the power of cereal gave me strength to fight these obsurd bastards.

he grunted as a reply.

I was in the middle of the room when I suddenly felt a chair being pushed behind me. I was thrown onto it with great force that I could not resist. the next thing I heard was a roaring voice that said,

"you are going be used as a test subject. we have created a new machine that allows us to transform cereal-people into garlic-people. and we've chosen you. what a lucky day it is.."

a ball of trepidation built up at my throat and i swallowed it as I listened to the voice..

" now, please remain calm while the test and transformation take place. see you after."

I looked down at my feet.
