Chapter 5

**five years ago**

Lucy's P.O.V.

I was beaming, I'm pregnant, I,m finally pregnant Natsu and I have been trying for almost a year now to have a child of our own. I was so excited to tell Natsu! I screamed in excitement, I wonder if it's a boy or a girl. I started to daydream about what our child will look like, will they have Natsu's hair color and my eyes? Or have my hair and Natsu's eyes? I'm just so excited I'm going to be a mother! I need to get to get dressed and get to the guild and tell Natsu ASAP! "Gate of the Maiden, I open thee! Virgo!"

"Yes princess?"
"I need Colten's to go to the guild can you help me Virgo?" I said excitingly. "It's finally happening I still can't believe it." I said happily
"What is happening princess?"
"I'm finally pregnant Virgo! Can you believe it!"
"Congratulations princess, I shall get you a outfit required for such an occasion."

Third POV
Lucy finally dressed and reading to go skipped in joy towards the guild. The usual fisherman yelled at her to be safe as always and she beamed at them happily and agreed. She could not wait to see the look on Natsu's face when she told him. Rather then that the whole guilds faces when she announced the wonderful news. The regular glow of a pregnant woman radiated off of Lucy as she reached the guild doors. She took a deep breathe and opened the guild doors slowly still radiating off happiness. When the guild doors finally opened the usual rowdy guild hall seemed to quite down and look at Lucy. Somehow this made Lucy uneasy as everyone was now looking at her with daggers in their eyes. But what could she have possibly done? Did she steal Erza's cake by mistake again? No no it couldn't have been that then why was everyone looking at her so coldly. Lucy slowly walked up to the bar where Mirajane stood with the same glare.

"Um Mira why is everyone looking at me like that?" Lucy asked timidly to the white haired waitress. Mira's gaze just darker causing Lucy to shiver.

"You know what you did Lucy how could you I thought we were family!" She snapped at the young blonde. This statement made Lucy even more confused what had she done that was so horrible that even Mira was snapping at her.

"I-I really don't know what I did wrong. Can you please tell me so I can apologize and make it right," the blonde said sincerely.

"Don't play dumb Lucy." Another voice spoke up making her turn her head and it was none other then her loving husband.

"Natsu I really don't know what is going on what did I do?" She said getting teary eyed. She was getting more and more confused that even her own husband was angry at her.

"You hurt Lisanna how could you be so cruel to her and then act as if nothing happened!" Natsu snapped at his wife causing her to jolt in surprise.

"Lisanna?? I would never is she okay what happened?" Lucy said now worried for her follow guildmate.

"Don't act all innocent Lucy you know what you did you almost killed her and left her there to die how could you!!" Natsu screamed at the poor blonde as she was now crying.

"I really didn't do anything please Natsu you have to believe me!" Lucy said reaching out toward her husband. As her hand as about to reach Natsu he quickly grabbed her wrist and threw her across the guilt causing her to hit the wall hard. She instinctively wrapped her arms around her stomach as she let out a yelp. As she looked at the whole guild standing before her while daggers toward her like she was their worst enemy. Horror quickly filled her eyes.
"Please minna you have to believe me I didn't do anything I would never do anything to hurt anyone here please!" She pleaded. But everyone seemed to to just more closer to the young mage. "Please please I'm preg-" and before she could get the last word out Natsu had struck her again causing her to bounce off the guild wall once more. But it didn't stop there next was everyone she considered family and friends were hitting Lucy with their most powerful attacks as she was curled up on a ball trying her best to protect the little life growing inside her. She cried and cried trying to stop the pain from all of the random punches and kicks and even magic filled pain. Blood was now coming out of her mouth and random parts of her body as she laid lifeless on the guild floor. What has she done that was so cruel to do this to her that everyone she loved had turned against her. The beating finally had creased and Lucy continued to lay there scared of what would happened if she moved. When she finally was able to get up it was already night time. She stumbled back toward her home dragging her leg behind her which she knew was definitely broken. She finally reached her hone to find all of Natsu's things missing and papers on the table, divorce papers to be exact. Lucy starred at the paper blankly for what seemed like hours.

"Loki" she called out and a bright light appeared behind her and her loyal spirit stepped out.

"Yes Luce, oh my spirit lord what happened to you." He asked worried and rushed to her side to help her become stable.

"It doesn't matter what happened anymore Loki," she cried. She then wiped her tears. "Please help me towards the bed and get the first aid kit please," she sniffles.

"Yes of course hold tight," Loki says as he grabbed her and moved her gently to the bed. Once applied all the bandages he slowly looked up at his master to see a broken face. "Can you tell me what happened Lucy?" He asked slowly.

"I honestly don't know they said I had hurt Lisanna badly and left her to die, I haven't even seen her in a couple days. Why would they think I would do such a thing!" Lucy yelled loudly crying once more. "Today was suppose to be a wonderful day I was suppose to tell Natsu I was finally pregnant and and I don't even know if I am even pregnant anymore after what they did," she then started crying harder at the thought of her lost child that she had just found. Loki grabbed his master in a tight hug consoling the poor mage.

"Shhhh it's okay it's okay I can still here it's little heartbeat your child is alive and well" he said. She then looked at him in disbelief.

"You mean it my child is still alive??"

"Yes a very strong heartbeat" Loki said soothing her. Knowing her child was still alive made her cry harder and harder. Crying is eventually what put her to sleep in Loki's arms. He laid her head on the bed and walked around the house noticing Natsu's things were missing and the divorce papers lying on the table. Loki clenched his fists 'how could Natsu do such a thing he promised to protect her he promised.' Loki thought getting angry at the thought of Natsu even laying an angry hand at Lucy.

"That bastard." Loki said disappearing into the spirit realm.
