Casey POV:

"So where to," I say with a smile on my face.

He looks over at me like he's still kinda mad,"Your hard to be mad at." He says trying not to brake a smile, but I can see it pulling at the corner of his mouth.

"Okay fine, Ask me anything and I'll give you the honest truth. " I say passing a slow driver.

"Why did you lie." He says looking hurt.

"I didn't lie you never asked me if my dad was a cop. And I never said he wasnt, so technically I didn't lie." I say with a stern look.

"Okay then why didn't you want me to know." He says shifting his body so he's facing me now.

"Because my dad isn't my favorite person, and truthfully would you of talked to me if you knew I was the detectives daughter?" I sat raising my eyebrows at him.

"No probably not, so why don't you like your dad."

"Well that's a long story." I say stopping at a stop sign and looking over at him.

"We might have to get some drinks if you want to here it." I say accelerating and going to the next light.

"Drinks it's 11:00 am on a saterday." He says looking at me stern.

Then he brakes a smile and says,"I'll buy."

I go to the nearest bar 2 towns over hoping no cops walk in and recognize me as Stephenson daughter.

I pull the door open and walk into the dark room.

I take my jacket off and hang it on my seat in front of the bar.

I take a seat as Cash sits next to me.

I signal the bartender over and Cash looks at me with a grin.

"What?"

He smiles at me and says,"I didn't see you coming."

I smile back at him and the bartender walks over.

"Hi can I have a Sammy Adams."

"I'm gonna need some id." The bartender says.

I dig in my purse and pull out my fake id handing it to the bartender.

He takes a look at it and hands it back.

"Coming right up."

Crash orders a beer too and pays for both of them.

"Okay we drove all the out here now spill."Crash says taking a sip of his beer.

"Why I don't like my dad?" I take a sip of my beer.

"He left me, my mom and my unborn brother when I was 9 and then never called, wrote, came back or bothered to see us." I say taking a long sip of my beer.

"Then why are you in contact with him now?"

"A month ago my mom and brother died in a car crash." I say raising my hand for another drink.

"Do you want a shot, I need a shot."

"Can we have 2 shots please. "I say to the bartender across the bar.

He nods and brings them over.

I down the shot and finish my beer ordering another all in 3 minutes.

"Wait that doesn't explain..."

"I've been living in Forestville since the crash, and have been going to school there till Monday when I got arrested for the fight in school. When they called a parent to come pick me up they couldn't find one." My voice cracks a little and Crash grabs my hand.

"They found my father, Detective Stephenson, and called him to come get me. So he did and brought me to his home. I wasn't allowed to live by myself because I'm a..." the bartender glances at me and I stop myself from saying "miner."

"So now I have to move in with him and live here and go to school here, but nobody asked me if I wanted to be here."

A tear runs down my cheek and I take another sip of my beer.

Crash takes his hand from mine and wipes the tear off my cheek.

"Its okay you don't have to keep going." He says rubbing my cheek with his thumb.

"You asked and I promised I would tell you. So I snuck out of my dad's house Thursday night and went back to Forestville. When. I went to school Friday ever body had heard what happened, it was on tv and in the paper, they where all staring at me, whispering behind my back, giving me sad looks. So when a girl that I didnt even know came up to me and said "I'm so sorry" I kinda snapped and broke her nose, maybe now she'll learn to keep it in her own business. Anyway, they arrested me again for fighting and ID me as Detective Stephenson daughter and left me at his police station and that's where I met you."

"Damn...I....Damn" That's all he said.

"You didn't think I was so messed up huh."

"No, I didn't think anybody could have such a shitty week."

I started to laugh and he broke a smile for me.

I order another shot and started to feel a bit of buzz coming on.

"Well its gonna get worst I am now being forced to go live with my dad and my step-monster and there 2 kids. Plus I have to go to this supper uptight, rich, snotty kids school starting monday.

"Well hopefully I'll see around soon, but I need a ride home."

I laugh and say slurring a little,"Whhat doosse baddd boy havve a curfew?"

He smiles and says,"No, I have to get home and make my brother some dinner."

"Aw you have a little brother. How old? I used to have a little brother, but then he died." I say laughing

"Isn't it weird how someone can just be there one day then disappear forever the next." I finishing my beer.

"Yea it's weird." Crash says in a whisper.

I stand up and put my coat on and grab my keys.

"Sir your not gonna let her drive home like that." The bartender says.

"No I'm not."

He pulls my keys out of my hand and says," I'm driving."

"Yes sir." I say saluting him

He grabs my hand pulls me out of the bar.

"I like you Crasshh." I yell at him in the middle of the parking lot.

"I like you to." He says pushing me into the car.
