Kagome thought about the best way to go about this run-in with Draco's father and decided to go with her more or less, inner child; raising her hands in a shrug. "Me!" She smiled when his frown only seemed to deepen.

"Why is it when my son is no longer within reaching range of the nanny, you are usually found with him?"

Kagome frowned, "Why?" walking forward, she tried her best to keep her face neutral, "Because your choice in 'nanny' is horrible. She clearly doesn't care enough about this child, to lose him every time she goes to Diagon Alley. And to hire a woman who refers to your own child, your flesh and blood...as annoying...what were you thinking!?" Alright, so keeping a neutral facade went out the window, she was upset.

"What place do you have to worry over the people I employ?"

"I could care less who you employ, but your sons warfare will constantly be on my mind!"

He eyed her for a moment before a small smirk formed on his lips and a slightly tainted look took refuge in his eyes. "What are you going to do about that?"

"What can I do?!"

Right about now, using her head would have been a good idea, but clearly not going to happen.

The door swung open behind Lucius and the two turned to see the nanny standing breathlessly behind him.

"M-Mr. Malfoy! Ah...you found him!" She made to walk forward when Kagome intervened and picked Draco up and moved out of the woman's reach.

"Margaret, you are fired."

"...what?"

Kagome too looked somewhat shocked, though pleased as well. 'Perhaps he'll be taking care of Draco himself now. Or at least find a suitable nanny.'

"You are daft, not deaf. Remove your items from the manor immediately, I will not allow someone ill equipped to watch my son. You..." he turned to Kagome, "I expect to see you at my manor at exactly seven, dinner should be ready, and by eight, Draco should be bathed and ready for bed." He pulled out a card and placed it in his son's hand. It had his address on it, as well as his job and name. Kagome was too shocked to take the card, to say anything; all she could do was stare in absolute astonishment. Lucius apparated away, and Margaret glared hatefully at Kagome.

x-X-x

Kagome didn't know how she got herself in these kind of situations. They just seemed to follow her around wherever she went.

It wasn't like she went and looked for weird or awkward situations to get into...they just found her.

Sighing Kagome put the last of the belongings she was bringing with her in a bag. She wasn't going to pack everything up, she was going to keep her apartment.

She didn't know how long this...agreement was going to last, so there was no reason to get rid of her home...that and she liked her apartment. It took her awhile to get it just the way she wanted it. There was no way she was going to give it up after fixing it up the way she liked it. "...well...I guess that is everything." Looking behind her, she stared at the little boy who was staring out the window of her apartment on the third floor. 'I understand telling me that I'm going to start working for him without much thought for asking...but how can he just leave his son with me...'

Draco looked back at Kagome and smiled as she walked over to him. "Go home now?"

Kagome smiled, "Yeah..." she held the card that Lucius had handed to Draco, eyeing the address, she sighed. '...home...' she took Draco's hand in hers and smiled, "Let's go Draco," with a loud pop, Kagome and Draco were gone.

Appearing before the Malfoy Manor, she stared up in slight surprise at the large home of the Malfoy family before she felt her hand being tugged by the little five year old boy. He was quick to pull her off in the direction of the front door, smiling as it was opened from the inside by a maid dressed in a white and black servers gown.

"Please come in young Master, your father is upstairs and will be down shortly to speak with your new caregiver, let us go prepare for dinner with a bath." The woman smiled, guiding Draco off to the stairs and leaving Kagome to wander around the Manor and take in the beauty of the architecture and elegance.

"So glad you could make it," a sordid tenor broke through her concentration and Kagome turned to find Lucius standing four paces behind her.

"Mr. Malfoy...firstly, let me inform you that this is only temporary...while you search out an actual Nanny for your son."

"I leave that to you...if you find someone suitable, only then will I see to them, and if they are not of my standard, then they will not be welcomed under my employment. Dobby!"

POP

Kagome turned to see a house elf appear beside her.

"Take Mrs...I'm sorry, your name escaped me."

"...Kagome...and it's Miss, not that I really care for the mistake."

Lucius raised a brow, "Take Miss. Kagome's things up to her new room and then show her to where she will be sleeping."

Dobby bowed, "Yes Master,"
