Ray turned around and faced the demon chasing him. It's head was completely decapitated from its body.

A figure stood on top. They held a knife of some kind, and their clothes filled with the demon's blood.

They turned to him as he felt a shiver run down his spine.

A demon!

No, it's hands are human like. Their movement was also like a human.

"Wh-who are you?" Ray asked.

"Just in time, as we anticipated."

A demon lurked behind them.

"Found them."

Our pursuers!

He heard them click their tongue before going towards the demons.

He ran and quickly hid behind a tree as he started to think.

They really came in the worst time possible.

I almost had him too! He would've fallen through the ground! Only if that human didn't interfere... I would've been back with Emma and the others!

Emma and the kids are safe right? I think they got pretty far away. I can't tell from over here! There's no source of information!

No use, I have to run. But the enemy's more than one with two more running around. Plus... that human! They sliced the demon's head off without any trouble at all!

I'm lacking both power and number!

"Find anything?" he heard the demon's voice.

A weird growling sound interrupted his thoughts. Is that how demons sigh?
