Optimus' POV
It's been two days since Kade and I found her. We still know nothing about her, but thankfully her child is unharmed. I've been staying closer to the shack to watch over her. *No child should be without a sire. It's unfair, but I don't understand WHY anyone would do that...* "Hey bossbot. What're'ya thinking about?" "I don't understand it. How can humans be so kind and cruel at the same time? I also worrier for the poor women. It's all so... Complicated." I admitted to Crosshairs. He seemed to understand my questions. "... That's what makes them human." He answered quietly. He walked off and I just continued letting my cranium wander.
"Hey Prime!" Kade. The strangest human I know."Yes my friend?" I turned to him to be greeted by a joyful smile. "She's up. She asked to meet the people who saved her, and she's not taking no for an answer. So... Though Cogsworth said she shouldn't be moving around to much, so how we gonna do this?" He was blunt and straight to the point as always. That I could alwaus count on him for. "Hold on. Let me try something." I quickly transformed and the holo that Ratchet was working on activated. I climbed out of myself and stood in front of him. "Since when could you do that?" He asked. I quickly explained it was a project that a friend of mine was working on before he... Died. "I'm sorry about that. I can't imagine how you must feel..." He was quiet as he lead me into the lottle 'house'. "Hello Optimus. I presume you' re here to see the young woman?" "Yes I am." Was my answer.
I was lead into a room that was dimly lit. On the bed was a woman who was smiling softly while rubbing her 'baby bump' as the humans say. "You wished to see me?" I said softly as I sat at the foot of the bed. "Yes. I wanted to thank you for saving me. For saving us." Her eyes were gentle as she gazed at me with a soft and sweet smile. "You're welcome. Both of you." I reached out to touch her belly but stopped to see if she would protest, but she put my hand on her belly and smiled at me. I could almost feel the live growing in her. In that moment, I vowed to protect this child and their mother. "Let me know if I can do anything for you." I said to her. She gently shook her head as I removed my hand. "You've already done so much for us. I couldn't ask for more." She stated calmly. "We'll see about that." I told her and smiled as I left. "Oh wait!" She called out. I turned to her, and with a sweet smile told me her name. "I'm Catherine, by the way." I smiled back and told her my own and left.
"Do you like her?" Kade asked. Deciding to play dumb I said. "Yes. She would be a wonderful addition to the team." He groaned and I allowed a smile of amusement to cross my features. * But do I?* I silently pondered...
