Six Weeks Later

Chapter 18: Part 2

Six Weeks Later:

I sat up in bed at the sound of the drawers to the dresser opening and closing. I rubbed my eyes and they soon fell into Jaspers form. He stood in one of his expensive black suits. He looked at me through the dresser mirror before continuing to tie his tie. When he was done, he grabbed his socks off the dresser and walked to the bed with his shoes in hand. He turned and sat down before quietly putting on his socks. I took that moment to crawl up to him. I lifted my hands up and ran them up his back. I stood up on my knees and pressed a soft kiss to the side of his neck.

"Happy Birthday." I say softly placing another kiss to his neck before pulling away from and sitting back on my legs. He didn't say anything and continued to sit there quietly. A few seconds later, he continued to put on his socks and shoes before standing up. He checked himself in the mirror and then left.

He hasn't said anything to me in six weeks. I've apologized countless times and he refused to say anything or even look at me. For six weeks, he's been sleeping in Jade and Jaden's room or his office upstairs. I've tried so many ways to get him to talk to me. Even when I broke down crying and when I started screaming at him to talk to me, he still refused. So I stopped and decided to let him talk to me when he's ready. I laid back down gently and a smile fell on my lips when Maddie rolled over to cuddle back into my side. I closed my eyes and went back to sleep.

By the time, I woke back up Lunch was getting close by and I quickly woke up Maddie. We had an hour to get to Ross and Sandra's home for Jasper's birthday lunch. Maddie kept having nightmares last night and decided to crawl in bed with me. She's been having them for a few days. Even with me laying next to her, she'll still wake up crying. The dreams were always the same.

She'll see her eyes before seeing his eyes and his smile that scared her. She'll hear her screams.....and then mines.

With a frown, I combed through her curls and my frown fell as I watched her brush her teeth with only one eye open. After I pressed a kiss to her head, she ran off to her room to get dressed. I turned and looked at myself in the mirror before grumbling in frustration. My two braids were in a tangled mess and I winced as I took them down, leaving them in a fluffy wavy mess. Too frustrated to care, I left it like that and got dressed. It was chilly outside so I dressed Maddie and I in a thick sweater with jeans and snow boots.

As soon as we stepped into Ross and Sandra's home, Jasper's and Hayley's childhood home we were greeted with warmth and the sounds of my babies gibberish. Maddie and I walked towards their living room. I was surprised to find that their childhood homes wasn't as big as Jasper and Hayley's mansions, but in fact just big enough to fit them and their siblings.

At the site of Jade and Jaden dancing to the music that played from their television, I laughed. Their eyes landed on me and Maddie causing them to stop and walk to us. "Hi, babies." I coo crouching down to pick Jade up watching as Jaden went to Maddie. They were almost half her size, so Maddie grabbed Jaden's hand.

"Hey, Sams." I hear Hayley's voice. I turn and walk toward the couch that she and Paul sat on and sat next to her. "Hey." I smiled placing Jade back on the ground letting her go play. I looked around the living room and frowned, just as Ross and Jasper walked into the room. They walked to the other couch and sat down both of them taking over the whole couch, which seemed to fit out to four people.

Jasper sat sat directly across from me and he stared at me. For the first time in four weeks, he actually looked at me. I looked down at Jade and Jaden avoiding his eyes. A few minutes later, we were called into the dining room. I walked towards the dining room with Jade in my arms. I felt Jasper walking behind me and he was soon pressed into my back when I stopped to let Hayley walk in front of me. His hand wrapped around my hip and I didn't want to move away from him, but I had to.
