(1 year later) As the children sparred, Jason watched from afar as Damian aggressively push his blade against Mara's two blades, he was aggressive & she was swift, their spar lasted 23 minutes but Damian won. He then looked on to see Mara's master come to her & beat her repeatedly with his dry, sandal, & though this angered Jason he held his tongue, as he beat on her til' her entire face was covered in blood & when he's done he spits on her cheek. Jason wanted to have intervened but knew that it was common for masters to treat their students like crap. when both Damian & her master left he walked over to her & helped her up, "Hey, Mara you know you shouldn't let him treat you like that. she then saw that her cheeks were flushing a bright pink but he couldn't be sure because of all the bruises & blood.

"Thank you Jason, I'll bear that in mind though i might not be able to Y'know," he then lightly pressed his lips against the 12 yr olds forehead. "I get it Mara, believe me." Jason had decided to not return to gotham during the year gap he met mara & dami whom he views as little brother & sister & talia feels responsible for all free as Mara's father (her brother) Dusan al ghul is deceased. Ra's is fond of Jason in this version with the claim that he will lead the shadows upon Ra's passing whom is known to most of the league as Ibn al Xu'ffasch (except; Talia, dami, mara & Ra's).
