It's as if he was never there. One second Rita was looking dead into a psychotic murderers eyes and then she blinked... and he disappeared. She jolted away from the window before running out of the room in search for her phone. She knew her brother was going to be upset because she looked through his stuff but she didn't care. The man he had been looking for was right there, just staring at her. It didn't matter that he disappeared her brother still had to know.
She grabbed her phone off the sofa and quickly found her brothers number. After three rings he picked up.
"Dong Rita, missing me alre-"
"He was here Sicheng, Yuta was here" she interrupted quickly as her eyes darted around the room fearfully due to the slight chance he could be in the apartment.
"Yuta...Rita how do you know about- you looked through my stuff didn't you?"
"That doesn't matter! He was here and he could still be here you need to get here now!" She whispered harshly and desperately due to the need of her brothers protection. What exactly was she going to do? She was a performer not a fighter and she knew this. She knew she couldn't protect herself which just made her nerves increase more and more."Look, don't worry okay Rita? I'm on my way now, nothings going to happen to you." He ended the call abruptly signalling to the younger girl that he was on his way to her. It calmed her down slightly but she was still shaking to the spot. She couldn't move. She didn't know if she wanted to. So many questions flooded into her mind. Where did he go? Was he in the apartment? Was she truly in danger or was she overreacting? It was just overwhelming for her. She used to be scared of performing on stage when she first debuted but this was a whole different version of scared.
Seconds later, a bang could be heard from the other room. It wasn't majorly loud but it was still there. She began to shake even more. She desperately prayed in her mind that it was from next door hanging a picture or something but it sounded more like it came from the exact apartment she stood in. She was stiff as she turned to face the room where the sound originally came from.
Once she faced the door she couldn't decide whether or not she wanted to move towards it or to stay in her spot. As she was about to move towards the door it began to open slightly. Her eyes went wide as her vision began to get foggy. Was she going to die? Was this it? She shut her eyes waiting for whatever was behind that door to come out and kill her when she heard a soft noice from a small cat.
She opened one eye to see that a small ginger cat had made its way out of the room. She let go a sigh of relief thanking the heavens that it was only the small creature that scared her. She walked towards the cat and started to play around with it to clam her nerves. A few minutes later she stopped shaking and her breathing was somewhat back to normalcy all thanks to the tiny cat. Whilst playing with the cat she forgot that she saw a murderer outside her window and that he could possibly be in the house until the front door opened with a loud bang and she shrieked. She stood up quickly with the cat still in her arms as if she was going to use it as a weapon.
"Rita! I came as soon as I could is everything okay?!" Her brother ran into the living room but stoped once he saw his sister holding the small fluffy animal. Her eyes were wide and her breathing was heavy again and she began to shake even more than before as she stared at her brother in complete and utter shock.
"So... I see you met Izumi..."
I'm gonna attempt to update this book next week but I probably will not because I am not very consistent with my updates and I just suck at updating my books hehe🤡
