It was just another regular night when I have to meet with all the business client at some high class restaurant. But what made tonight different was the raining outside.
The raindrop sounds crashing the window and I was forced to drink more than a couple of glasses so when the meeting ends, I still couldn't leave the restaurant by myself. I was not completely drunk but I couldn't drive myself back home because it would be illegal.
I called to home and asked the driver to pick me up, but there was someone answered the phone instead. It was Kim Seokjin, a decent man who was raised by my father, he's 2 years older than me but we talk causally. He said he would be there to pick me up.
I was waiting outside the restaurant under its roof but I still got soak a bit. I heard a familiar voice behind my back.
"Do you want a ride with me, I'll call a cap"
Mr. Ju, my client who just walked out, he was very drunk. I could sense something from his words.
"My driver will be coming, so it's fine" I gave out a polite smile.
"Don't you wanna go with me, so we could talk about our project" I notice his hand approached me.
"It's late Mr. Ju, I think you should get some rest" I checked my phone and trying to call Jin.
But Mr. Ju hand was already on my shoulder, he's trying to get close with me.
"Mind if you take your hand....." he then grab my butt, I was shocked for a moment I couldn't react right. I know he was drunk but that was a sexual harassment.
Suddenly he was punched to the floor, in that moment I couldn't do anything beside standing there frozenly. A hand grabbed my wrist and took me into the car, a familiar hand.
It was jin, he then turned on the heater and took off his jacket for me as i got soaked by the rain all over my clothes.
"It's alright, let's go home" he looked at me warmly and maybe with some love.
"Next time call me before you leave so that I could pick you up at the right time" he then continued,
"It's dangerous for you to meet with those pervert at night, they looked decent before drinking." He gave me a bottle of water with its lid open. He turned on the song, some random jazz song.
"I think I should ask uncle to come with your every meetings. It's too dangerous, I'm worried"
Beside my father, there was no any men in my life that could care for me, adore me and value me except for Jin. We grew up together as friend, but I never expect he would protect me one day. I was a strong woman in my career and in life, no one would think that I need to hear those comforting words and get some little care from anyone but jin, he said it tonight.
My tears suddenly fell out of a sudden, I was moved by his action today. That was just unexpected to be worried, that small little thing about me that mattered tonight.
"It's alright y/n, I'm here ok I'm here" he wiped my tears softly. We were still in the car and the rain isn't going to stop.
That moment our eyes were locked, the sound of rain drop with the song he's playing and the atmosphere was just right. He looked at me softly then his lip smashed mine, he tilted his head and his hand cupped my face and mine is on his neck. His bumpy lip tasted like cherry, he pulled out and whispered gently in my ears. "Are you ok with this"
I nodded and I pulled in for another deep kiss.
"Shouldn't we find a better place" I chucked and say yes.
