: the apocalypse

"When is it supposed to happen," Luther asked a worried Five, who was currently watching you nervously pace back and forth. "This apocalypse?"
You bit your nails nervously as you paced for what seemed to be hours. Thinking over what Five has just unveiled to the both of you.

"I can't give you the exact hour but... from what I could gather we have four days left." He solemnly admitted sending you a nervous look as you stopped your pacing.
"Four days," You whispered angrily. "Four. Days. Why did you not tell us sooner!" You felt like ripping your hair out this moment, and you could tell your eyes flashed black out of anger. Your heart skipped a beat, no one could have caught that.

Right?

They can't of, you had convinced yourself. Though Five squinted suspiciously towards you and it felt like you could break down in a nervous sweat any moment. If he saw, if anyone saw, they would start asking questions. I couldn't have that. The environment sounded with angry whispers and murmurs that only you could hear.

But the moment had passed and Five looked elsewhere and you released the breath you didn't know you were holding.
"It wouldn't have mattered." He continued.
You kept quiet this time and let Luther do the talking, you couldn't loose control like that again.

"Of course it would, we could have banded together and helped you try and stop this thing." Luther pushed.

Five sighed, "For the record, you already tried."

Both you and Luther reeled back in shock and confusion.
"What do you mean?"
Five looked upset, and you dreaded the next words that would come out of his mouth.

"I found all of you," He says calmly. "Your bodies."

I die?

"We die?" Luther whispers, glancing around in disbelief.

"Horribly... You were all together, trying to stop who ever it was that ends the world."

For the first time in a bit, you spoke up with a raspy voice, "how do you know that?"
Five pulled something out of his pocket and held it towards Luther.

"This was clutched in your dead hand when I found you," tossing it to him. "Must've ripped out of their head right before you went down."

Luther inspected the glass eye. "Who's head?"

"Like I said, I don't know."

"Well, there's a serial number on the back," Luther inspected further. "Think maybe you can try-"

"-No, that's a dead end," Five cut him off, chuckling. "It's just another hunk of glass."
Luther handed the eye back to Five as you sat on the bed next to him, head in your hands.
Though only a second had passed until the door slammed open. You snapped your head up and Luther jumped up.

"You piece of shit," Diego spits, marching down towards us, particularly Five.
"Do you have any idea what you just did?"
Luther holds him back from practically pouncing on Five.
Diego grunts in disapproval. "Get your ape hands of of me!"

"I can do this as long as it takes you to calm down." Luther speaks calmly. Diego stops struggling and eventually agrees causing Luther to drop him.

"You wanna tell us what that was about?" You questioned.

"Well our 'brothers' been pretty busy since he's got back," Diego spits. "He was in the middle of that shootout at Griddey's, and then at the Gimble Brothers after the guys in the masks attacked the academy." He listed.
"Looking for him!" Jabbing a finger at Five.

"None off which is any of your concern." He replied calmly.

"Well it is now, they just killed my friend." Diego hid the pain in his eyes, and you wanted to comfort him but now wasn't the time, so you gave him a sorry look.

"Who are they?" Luther asked Five.

He gulped. "They worked for my former employer. A woman called The Handler. She sent them to stop me, then as soon as Diego's friend got in their way. Well, fair game."

"Well now they're my fair game," Diego said. "And I'm going to see to it they pay." Walking away for his mission.

"That would be a mistake Diego, they've killed far more dangerous people than you."

"Yeah we'll see about that." He replied to Five before strutting out the door and slamming it shut.

You give Five a disapproving look before running after Diego. You get outside and find him sitting in his car with a sad look.
"Diego!" You get his attention. To which he starts his car.
"Diego wait!"
But he's already driving away.
━━━━━━━☆☆━━━━━━━
After a bit of staring off down the drive we're Diego drove away, you decided it was best to head back inside.
You walked in the door and didn't pay much attention to what they were saying but by the time you reached them you knew they were done. You sat on the bed, lost in thought.
And Luther walked off to do who knows what.
It was a comfortable silence that you much needed, until you felt a hand rest on your shoulder.
"Are you alright?" Five asked.

"I don't really know," You sighed at the ground. "There's just so much going on, so much to process."

"I'm sorry."
You finally looked at Five, he looked genuinely guilty about it. So you gave him a small smile,
"It's okay."
You both kept eye contact, inching the slightest bit closer to one another.

But.

It was short lived as you reeled back and stated in shock, "Klaus."
Five looked puzzled and worried as you scrambled off the bed. "What about Klaus?"

"Somethings wrong."
