Lia's POV
"Pssst," somone is whispering obnoxiously in my ear. I turn my head and keep my eyes closed.
"Pssst, Lia. Hey, Lia. Liiiaaa," the same person whispers. Dear God, I think, please shut up! I turn my head, finally, and open my eyes. It's Hunter, leaning across the aisle and fearfully glancing towards the front of the class.
"What? What do you want, Hunter?" I say, slightly pissd at him for disturbing my nap.
"Um, I..I forgot. Sorry, Li," he says, sheepishly rubbing the back of his head.
"Idiot," I say, smacking the back of his head and laying my head back down on the table. I start to close my eyes, when lo and behold, he speaks again.
"Oh! I remember now! What's the Physics homework?" he asks, grinning.
I groan, "Really? you couldn't wait until after class?" I sit up straight and glare at him, about to make another biting comment.
"Ehem," it's Mr. Lawson, the English teacher, "if you two could stop your flirting for a minute, and maybe pay attention to this lesson, I may not give you a detention."
I can feel my face start to flush as I begin to apologize profusely.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Lawson. It won't happen again, I promise," I say, looking down at the desktop is shame.
"Yeah, sorry, man," Hunter says," It's just that Tucker here is so pretty that I just couldn't tear my eyes from her." He grins cheekily at Mr. Lawson, as I proceed to blush even harder.
"Detention, Mr. Davis," Mr. Lawson turns around and starts the lesson again.
"Well, that was fun," Hunter says, leaning back in his chair and glancing at me. I roll my eyes and then something popped into my head.
"Hey, does this mean you'll be late for work now?" I ask quietly. The grin falls off his face.
"Shit. Yeah, yeah it does," he says falling forward onto his desk. "And my boss'll probably need me to stay late, too."
I stay quiet, not quite sure what to say. I really want to help him, but I don't know what to do.
"Hey," he turns to me," I'm sorry this is so sudden, but would you mind watching my siblings after school today? I can pick them up by 8:30." His eyes are almost begging me.
"Uuuuuhhhh," I drag out the word, trying to think. Lonely school night or fun children-fille night?
"Sure, practice doesn't start till 5 and you have detention until 4:30, right? So drop them off right after school and I'll take them to practice with me. Sound good?" I ask. Suddenly, I'm really excited for this. I love children and so does Willow, so this should be tons of fun.
"Yeah," Hunter sounds surprised," Yeah, sure. I'll bring them over then."
"Cool, I can't wait" I say, just as the bell rings.

(Time skip, it's 3:30, just after school)
I'm waiting by my door fantasizing about all the fun, I'm about to have with these kids. Just as I'm drifting back into the daydream, the front door opens, revealing Willow, with a bag of kiddie things.
"Li, I am so excited for this. You have no idea," she says, walking in the door.
"I know," I say, jumping up and down," I can't wait for them-"
The doorbell rings. Both Willow and I freeze and look at each other.
"I got it," I whisper and open the door. There stands Hunter and three kids.
"Hey," he says," I gotta jet but these are the kids." He points to the two girls.
"This is Lucy and this is Nicole. They're twins, 8 years old." The girls smile and wave at me.
"And this guy is Joseph, he's four," Hunter says, patting the boy's head.
I take a deep breath and then say, "Hi guys. I'm Li and this is Willow, we'll be watching you until your brother gets back tonight. Is that okay?"
All three nod and Lucy leans into Nicole.
"She's pretty," Lucy whispers and Nicole nods vigorously. I grin and chuckle.
"Do you guys go by any nicknames?" I ask, bending down.
"I'm Nikki," Nicole says.
"And I'm Lu. Also, he likes to be called Joey," Lucy says, grinning.
I look up at Hunter and see him grinning at me.
"Thank you so much for doing this. They're normally pretty well behaved and Joe will probably fall asleep before I get back," he says, looking at his watch.
"Okay, it's no problem. You need to leave, though. See you at 8:30," I say, practically shoving him out the door.
"Okay, okay," he says and pulls me into a hug," See ya later."
He walks down the driveway and I usher the kids inside the house, along with WIllow.
"So," WIllow says grinning slyly," You and Hunter, huh?"
"Shut up," I say and close the front the door.
A/N
Well, that was a doozy (for me at least). I'm really sorry for not updating sooner, it's literally all my fault. But, I hope you enjoyed that last chapter.
