Prologue-
A girl sat happily playing with her brand new Barbie as her mother braided her soft black ringlets into pigtails. The couple were dressed in their best clothes for the days events, some unknown even to the child.
Today was her fifth birthday, and even though she looked happy and content the haunted look in her emerald green eyes paired with the bruises littered over her body told a different story.
When her mother finished fixing her hair, they both stood up and walked silently out of the tiny bedroom and to the living room where her father awaited them.
"Remember what I told you Sarah?" The man spoke to the girls mother his eyes, which happen to be the same as his daughters, narrow threateningly.
"Yes master, I remember." She says emotionless. The man reaches up and runs his hand gently down her hair with a possessiveness that had never been seen before.
"Which do you choose then? You can take the little pest and drop her off in the woods or something, or you could pack your bags and leave, then I'll keep the little failure."
"I'll leave, master." The woman said and walked away without looking back.
That was the last time the child seen her mother, and the day her life was ruined forever.
I need opinions on how this sound so far. this is just the prologue and the next part will be in the girls point of view. I've had this story idea in my head for the past week and no matter what I do it wont go away, and I have writers block for my other story's so I thought what the heck? Here is the outcome!
