"Steven I need a sexier battle cry."
The halfgem stopped dead in his tracks, the even pace we'd been keeping while walking the beach absolutely shattered by my comment.
"What do you mean Aedan?" Steven chuckled, "Is "OH SHIT" not sexy enough for you?"
I huffed, "Steven, that's not sexy at all. Not a single bit. Whatsoever."
"Why does your battle cry need to be sexy in the first place?"
"Because otherwise I just sound like a bitch."
"Aedan I hate to break it to you but-"
"HEY"
"Just sayin'!"
"I will eat your bones Universe."
"I'd like to see you try!"
There was a moment of silence as we stared each other down before we both broke out into loud laughter.
"You're right, you're right," I relented, shaking my head with a smile, "I guess I'm just not meant to be sexy, being an absolute fucking nerd is what I'm good at."
"It really is" Steven agreed, to which I replied with a friendly shove.
"For that, you owe me a milkshake"
"Fair enough, but we should drag Spins and Connie"
