Three hundred years ago the realm Galemore was under the rule of a dark magician, named  Mallor Kane, a name known only to few outside his court. To his subjects he was only known as The Dark King, an elvin man, with eyes of gold that could peirce right through you knowing every thought before one had bared it. He was a horrible man, ruling through fear and tyranny causing death and destruction all throughout his kingdom, none dared oppose him, for his magic was to powerful.
It was a dark time for Galemore, there was no hope of a different future other than Mallor's rule. But then came the Conglomerate of Sorcerers, a secret order that had been forming for many decades becoming stronger combined than the dark king could ever be alone. By forming alliances with the people of all races and building an army to take back their homes and lives.
The conglomerate fought the dark king for five long years. The death toll was high on both sides and the conglomerate was left with but five sorcerers when they made it to the capital of Galemore, a city by the name of Brón. The dark kings army was now no more than one thousand men, and they had doubts about his rule and leadership. The army of the conglomerate was steadily growing stronger for the people found an end to the dark king through them.
The siege of the city lasted only three hours with minimal casualties to the army of the conglomerate. As the generals of their army sought out to finish capturing the city the remaining sorcerers went to the castle of the dark king to confront him and take his head for all of Galemore. He met the sorcerers in the courtyard and the final battle for the whole of Galemore ensued.
The sorcerers had no trouble at all subduing the dark king, for he knew his fate. He also knew that one day a child would be born with magic more powerful than anything that has or will ever be seen again, magic just as his own.
Soon the dark king lay dead and buried in an unmarked grave so that no one could find his remains. Soon the conglomerate went to work finding a new heir to the throne, a new bloodline to rule Galemore. They chose their most trusted general, a man by the name of Solomon Colart. He lead the largest regiment of troops throughout the whole of the war, had the least casualties, and treated his men as men. The sorcerers thought him to be the best choice for the roll and left him to his own devices.
They set out to make their order, The Sorcerers Conglomerate writing laws and rules for the lands and their kings. The most important law, the one that held the most weight over all was that a sorcerer could never become king, no matter if he was the only heir to the throne. If this were to come to pass a new heir would be chosen by the conglomerate and the one who was to become king would be brought to a school of the arcane and taught the ways of the conglomerate. With memories of the dark king still fresh in their minds, the kings of the lands agreed and this is the way it has been.
The Conglomerate became a type of police force. Giving aid to those who need it and not asking for anything in return. Keeping kingdoms from war with each other, and helping kings rule justly and fairly. The sorcerers were loved by all that lived an honest life. With this the realms were peaceful and prosperous.
