I had started this with the intentions of it being a sad one-shot of Luke going 'I should've seen the signs' and stuff like that, but I guess it turned out a bit different. In the end, it's more like Luke wishes he had realized earlier, because around the end Luke does know that Ashton wants to die, but Luke doesn't say anything because he doesn't want to believe it. And then when Ashton dies, Luke wishes he had tried to stop him and had known sooner, because by the time he really did know, there wasn't wanything he could do to change Ashton's mind even if he had tried to stop it. Obviously he could prolong Ashton from doing it, but it was only a matter of time before Ashton did it.
Does that make sense? I don't know- it made sense in my head. It was probably confusing.
This was kind of inspired by Green Day- Boluvard (I can't spell) Of Broken Dreams, so.

Okay, this author's note is also all over the place. The beginning of the story is very different because in the beginning it was meant to be Luke explaining the situation a bit, and then dialogue between him and Ashton, but it got a bit more discriptive than I meant it to be and it just got weird.
