(3rd Person POV)

A few days later, the guards were told to bring Loki to the main court for his trial. They restrained him and headed to the throne room.

The council members sat on either side of the expansive hall, scowls on their faces. Fury stood next to Odin, both of whom had malicious grins on their faces. Frigga was standing by her son on the dais, anticipating the arrival of her second son. The remaining avengers surrounded the dais' steps.

The doors opened and a troop of guards marched inside, Loki at the center of all of them, chained and muzzled. They slowly trod to the throne, Loki's ruby eyes burning holes in every person in the chamber. One of the guards kicked his knees out from under him. He hit the floor hard, chains clattering as he did. Odin banged gungnir on the golden floor.

"We are gathered here today to reassess the crimes committed by Loki Laufeyson. I invite the council to read out the previous charges."

One of the council members, a burly man with long red hair, unraveled a scroll and read its contents: "Treason on 2 accounts, attempted fratricide on multiple accounts, patricide, malicious mischief," Loki smirked beneath his mask at that, "disturbing the peace of another realm, and genocide on 2 accounts." The councilman finished and sat down again.

"After reviewing the events that occurred,  it has been decided that the accounts of genocide and disturbing the peace were under mental manipulation by another being. As such, the condemned is cleared of these charges."

Frigga and Thor visibly let out a sigh of relief at the statement.

"However, the other crimes are still grievous and combined with a more recent crime of kidnapping the crown prince, it has been decided to sentence the prisoner to a public flogging and imprisonment for the next 3000 years." There was much uproar from the others in the room, but the Allfather ignored them all. "What does the condemned have to say to these charges?"

The muzzle was removed from Loki. The man worked his sore jaw a bit before responding.

"I think that your crimes outnumber mine, that you should be the one down here, not I, but that matter can be amended soon." Loki froze the chains and ripped them from his body. He summoned ice shards that exploded into the guards surrounding him, dead bodies now circling him on the floor.

The avengers cornered Fury and incapacitated him while Loki took on Odin. Loki gripped the allfather's throat, burning the skin around it.

"You see, you made one critical mistake when you attacked Jotunheim...You killed a child!"

Loki's fingers tightened around the old fool's neck and with a sickening snap, it was all over.

Epilogue

Loki and Helblindi sat at the head of the long icy table, with Frigga, Thor, Jane, and the avengers sitting along the sides. They ate and laughed in merriment as the told of old tales, especially the ones involving Loki's mischief. The avengers told that, apparently, after the incident, Fury was killed in a 'mysterious accident' in the Avengers tower.

After the night was long over, Loki went to his balcony. And, holding Crystalina's crown, looked out upon the dark horizon and thought,

I'm finally Home
