"I've always wondered, why is it every time Gray and [name] are in the same room with each other they always make sure to be as far away as possible and they get all quiet." Lucy asked, eyes darting between them.
Mirajane sighed, "that is a long, heart breaking story. They used to be so close."
"Close?" Natsu laughed as he came and plopped himself in between them. "They were more than close, they were all of each other! They were all oh, Gray kiss me! Oh, [name] you're so sexy."
Lucy's eyes widened, "wait a minute... were they dating or something?" She had never known that detail and she wondered why. Usually, a relationship would be the gossip everyone would talk about. "How did I not know that."
"Because if anyone mentions it they get snappy and sad. It really isn't a good idea to mention one to the other. Not unless you want them to be mad at you for the next month." Mirajane added. "Why do you think [name] has been ignoring Natsu?"
"It was an accident!" Natsu whined, annoyed that one of his best friends was mad at him. "I mean, Gray's name just slipped out. I didn't mean to say it. Damn, that boy knows how to hold a grudge."
"Wouldn't you be mad if you were constantly reminded of the guy who broke your heart?" Mirajane asked, giving him a look.
"So what happened between them? It must of been something bad if they have this reaction to one another."
"Gray always used to get really jealous about everyone around [name] and ended up accusing him of cheating." Natsu spoke. "Gray just acted like a complete idiot. They still love each other but I don't think they will be getting back together any time soon."
Lucy pursed her lips and looked back over at the pair they were talking about. A smile spread across her lips. "We could always come up with a plan to get them back together... oh, my god we have to do that!"
"That is not a good idea..."
"Shut up, it's a great idea." Lucy cut the pink haired boy off. She held her chin in her hand. "In fact, I have a great idea." Before anyone could stop her, she walked straight up to Gray, ignoring the calls of protest that followed her. "Hi, Gray!"
He grumbled back at her, "what do you want?"
"Well, I actually was asked to come over here and tell you something." She acted coy, twirling a strand of hair around her finger and biting her lip.
Gray looked at her with no amusement. "Would you just spit it out already."
She sighed and sat down, close enough where she could talk quietly but he could still here her. "Earlier I was talking to [name]," Before she could even finish it looked like he was about to get up and leaned, "and he told me he was thinking of telling you he still loved you."
